    Considering removal; have questions????

I totally understand how you r feeling. I go out with my brother once a week for breakfast and most times after a few bites I am running for the bathroom to choke it all up.. I also eat the junk food because it is easier to get down. It is very hard, but try to eat more soups and softer foods, but I know how u feel.

    removal-mini bypass

Hi everyone! I havent been on here in awhile. I am 2 yrs. into banding and not having great results. I am always choking and food comes up alot. I was looking online at people who have had the band removed and the mini bypass done. I am not too familiar with the mini bypass, does anyone know of this or has had surgery done after the band has come off?

    Changed

I am 2 years into the lap-band without much success. Has anyone had or know anyone who has had the band removed and had a gastric bypass?

    Losing hope

I have had 3 fills so far, but I did make an appointment for a few weeks. It's strange, sometimes I feel as if I can eat lots of one thing, yet get full easily from another, if that makes any sense. I actually havent eaten too much at all today, but am just starting to feel full. Everyone keeps telling me I need to eat more, not less!
  7. Good luck with your new beginning!!!

    Protein Shakes

I was on the unjury website earlier and was wondering if anyone who has used any of the products could tell me a little bit about their experience with it.

    liquid protein

Hi all! I was wondering if anyone has any information on liquid Protein. I was told after surgery to have Protein shakes for a bit. Recently I was told on here that Liquid Protein is not a good idea. I would love to hear anything else on the subject. Thank you!

    Losing hope

Thank you all for your wonderful support, it has really helped. I put myself in a better state of mind, and have been reading alot about the band again and am making a fresh start this week. I have to realize I cannot eat how i did before, and really pay attention to what my body is telling me.

    Losing hope

I hit my year mark for my band on Halloween 2006. I lost 30 lbs. pretty quickly, but I am only down maybe 40 lbs. in all. I am totally discouraged. Everyone tells me, eat this, eat that, do this, do that. I then feel like, well why did I get the band for if I need to do all the same I tried to do before. I have one more small fill to go, but am sooo embarrassed to go have it done and get weighed. I sometimes feel maybe I did the wrong surgery. My nephew had the bypass one wekk before me and is more than half of his former self! Please anyone else having this problem!

    Excessive PB-ing on purpose

Hi! I have had my band for a little over a year and I also have episodes of vomiting. I may eat too much, too fast and it can be painful, so I need to relieve the pressure. I know it is not good, so I am trying to be mindful of my eating.

    Gas

Hey All! I was laughing when I saw this discussion. My mother is always yelling at me for the gassiness, but I tell her it's a new thing since my surgery! I never know when it may erupt, let's just say there have been some close calls!
  14. Hello everyone, I am new here, but was really looking forward to talking to people who have had the lap-band. It will be 1 yr. for me this Halloween. I have only lost about half of what i should have, and am very disappointed. My nephew had the bypass the same time and has lost alot more, and I feel like I did the wrong surgery at times. I have one more fill to go.
