thank you for replying. i just got back from the doctor, i called because i took a sip of milk and that didn't go through, and water was not going through so much.... so i called, they worried, and made me go. i lost 3 lbs between yesterday and today... which for me is great! lol, but my doctor was worried, truth is after my fell yesterday morning and today i didn't get any food, and not even a cup of water, so he took .5 out, now i am on 5.5 and hopefully this works this time... i want to have restriction, but i guess 6 is too much for me.

so... i had a fill yesterday. i wan 5.0 on a 10.cc band and now i am up to 6.0. yesterday, i had a fruit smothie hours afters the fill. it took me like 2-3 hours to finish the 16 oz smoothie. after that at night i made a clear chicken Soup with some veggies, and i ate that.it didnt take me as long as the smoothie, but it wasnt easy to eat it either. today... i'va had 2 strawberries that i ended up trowing up... so am i too tight!? i am worried it might be too tight! but see at 5.0 i was eating pretty much like i didnt have a band... soooo i dont understand. maybe i am just swollen and it should get better in a couple of days? please help! thank you :biggrin:

i had an open incision too, and my doctor put me on antibiotics to prevent any infection... but it was fine after, he just told me to keep it clean, and shower twice a day to make sure nothing would get in there and cause infection. good luck! oh! it also closed pretty fast so, i dont think you should have a problem by the time u get ur fill!

it sucks but i guess it makes sense, that u gain some muscle, perhaps since i haven't exercised in a long time, my muscles needed some work.. lol although it is so frustrating that u work hard only to see the scale down and it doesn't!!!

uggghhh!! i am very frustrated, i have been working out, and eating better than before, but it is not making a difference in the scale, i dont understad why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi! i am doing zumba right now, but i am almost 5 months post op.... its so much fun, great workout too!!!

i changed my doctor, because he wasnt paying attention to me, he wouldnt talk to me, he would fill me and wanted to see me two months later, and that was way too long for me, so i decided to try another doctor. i was suppossed to have 4.5 in my 10cc band, but i wasnt feeling any different. the new doctor told me he wanted to make sure i had 4.5 so he was going to take the saline out just to check.... i had 1cc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what my doctor said he put at the time of surgery! :thumbup: no wonder when he would put the saline i didnt feel anything, it didnt hurt and he took like seconds and he was out of the room and wouldnt even stay to talk... now this fill was a real one, my new doctor put 3.5 yesterday, and i could feel the needle inside, hitting the port, unlike the other doctor where i had to ask are u done? hum! i didnt even feel it! i wasted 4 months!!!!! i was so mad!!! my new doctor is really nice, and he was telling me that at least i figured put something wasn't right and i seek further help, but still i couldn't help how i was feeling!!! so mad, frustrated and no wonder i wasn't loosing weight! i had almost no fill in my band!

i am so sorry this is happening to you, i recommend after what happened to me to tell your doctor to take saline out of your band, maybe he is not hitting the port when putting the solution in, or you have a leak... i dont think is normal, something must be going on in there... that is why i decided to check with another doctor... best wishes!

i thought it was me, but my doctor wasn't getting my port, i thought i had 4.5cc's and decided to change doctors after months of not seeing any difference in my appetite, i had only 1cc on my band.... so if u can, get a second opinion, or talk to ur doctor, it happen to me and i would hate it happening to someone else, it is just too frustrating... with my new doctor and my first real fill... i have lost 4 lbs, and it hasnt even been a week, and i definitely have at least some restriction, not sure yet if it is the restriction i need but it is working so far! good luck

this fill definitely hurt, but it hasnt even been a week and i have lost 4 lbs already, so it is definitely working, and it never worked before... i am really happy i am already seeing the lbs go away, and i am actually feeling restriction, i dont know if enough restriction but some for sure... thanks for the comments!

hi! i was wondering how long are we supposed to be full after a meal... i am on 3.5 and i am eating a lot less than before, but i dont know i am full for enough time... i am probably full for 3 maybe 4 hours with luck...

i am defenitly going to talk to him... and the fills he made were included when i paid for the surgery, wich was all self paid, so that is why i was sooo mad... i think if he had been doing this to me, someone else is probably affected and they dont know...

i am 4 months post op and still burping, my doctor said that for some reason when we eat with the band we intake too much air and thats why we burp... its a bit annoying cuz u cant control it... lol! embarrasing sometimes!

i moved from miami about a year ago, and i decided to get my surgery there... my whole family and my support system is there, so that was huge for me, in terms of recovery, but i am going to start follow up with a surgeon here dr.paul chapanno, he sees out of town patients!

lol! well we can talk about rollercoaster of emotions too since i am in a huge plateau, my surgeon sucks! and i am on my second fill and dont feel any different... any different than before getting the surgery!!!! so... i dont know what to do... :eek:

so... i got my first fill yesterday, and i only got 1cc, my surgeon told me that he put 2cc's at the time of surgery, so i have 3cc's, but not even close to restriction i think... i have a 10cc band and i was just wondering about how many cc's u are having restriction with! thanks!!!
