I am your typical Army wife, everyone/everything else comes before me...child, husband, army, me. I let myself go for too long. My daughter is 13, and I guess I can only use the "baby weight" excuse for so long (ha ha). Thankfully I have not developed any of those pesky ailments that go along with weight, but I stress the word YET. It is only a matter of time continuing down this path to get them. I have tried one diet after another. I was successful at one time with losing about 40 pounds the old fashion way, watching what I eat and exercising every day. Of course six months later it found its way back to me and then some. It is time for me now. I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I have been researching this for many months and believe that having the lap band is the tool I need to help me with my horrible relationship with food. I have just started my journey with my first surgeon visit January 6, 2010. Perfect way to start out a new year! I have a great, supporting husband who will be by my side the whole way. I look forward to LIVING the rest of my life, instead of sitting on the couch watching it go by.
