I just got a call from the Dr.s Office. They just submitted everything to Anthem this morning. I will call them this Friday to see what's up.

Wow! Perfect10! That was fast. Well, I have an update! My psych eval came back yesterday. Since Monday is MLK Day, they will submit to Anthem on Tuesday the 19th. I have already got my surgery clearance so I am waiting for the OK and let's schedule! Ugh! Can't wait!

Becky Lou, I have not been approved yet. The office called me yesterday to tell me that my insurance does cover my band ( as if I didnt know that.....I work for Anthem) and with that said, I do not have Empire. I have Anthem HRA. I think the most I might pay out of pocket is for my Medifast for two weeks and $300 for the band. I am still waiting for my Psych Eval to come back, once that comes back (which it should be in no later than next Monday), they will submit everything. I already did a supervised diet (Adipex) for over a year before I even considered the Band. However, when the office called me to let me know my insurance covered the Band, they also mentioned I didnt need to have a supervised diet with the plan that I have. Let me know when you get approved. :thumbup: -

) Did you say Anthem called you in 3 days that you were approved or your doctor found out in 3 days after submitting that you were approved? I am getting soooo antsy! They are still waiting for my psych eval to come back first. UGH! -

Thanks Lovelyqueen and Aprilapple! @ Aprilapple, yesterday the office called to tell me that all but my psych eval is in and they just got back from my insurance co (which I work at Anthem lol) that my benefits are covered. so once the psych eval returns which could be tomorrow or next week, then they have to submit everything to insurance. Whew! I hate waiting! So I am looking at probably getting banded by March.....Grrrrr!

Hi Denise. They have to wait for my paperwork (only my psych eval now) in order to submit everything to Anthem. Thanks for the compliment, but i am 5.1 and 215lbs BMI 4.1 slight hypertension, so i'm a biggy but short. -
