  1. It is true. I wasn't eating one cup of food when I was tighter. I had to have all my Fluid taken out the other day because of a small issue so now I can eat way more than a cup. You really won't be able to eat more than that, and the good thing is you will not want to eat more than that. I know just about when I take one too many bites because I will be in pain. I had the same worries as you about only eating 3 cups of food or less a day, but I guess that is the good thing about the band. I wasn't about to eat flour tortillas or things like that before I had all my fluid taken out. My doctor didn't tell me to avoid those. I just couldn't eat them or else I would be in pain. Pasta, potatoes, etc. don't really give me trouble. I do try to avoid bread.
  2. I saw this info commercial last night about the Insanity workout, and I have seen the P90X one many times. I have always thought there is no way I could do that. I was just curious if anyone here as tried either one and how were they? I am thinking about trying the Insanity workout, but I'm not so sure just yet.
  3. I guess it is okay to do both programs being banded and all? I didn't know since we couldn't eat as much. And I will be doing weights for sure. I want to look toned for once in my life . I have a Bowflex that I might use as well.
  4. Oh cool. I was hoping there was someone I knew over at OH. Thanks for both replies. I may just stick to Tae Bo or running or something.

    BEVERAGES

I drink Milo's Splenda tea mainly. Also, plain water or Crystal Lite packets in water. I do orange juice every once in awhile. I took a sip of my dad's coke today, and it was so good, but can't have those.

    Worried About Port

I can feel it, but I cannot see it. It might show a little when I get the rest of my belly off, but right now I cannot see it.
  7. It doesn't really bother me. I see people who don't know I've had surgery, and they say 'you've lost a lot of weight.' I laugh and say a little bit. They usually don't say anything else after that expecet that I look good or they ask how I did it. I don't tell them I had surgery. I just kinda tell them I started eating less, etc. I like when people ask because it makes me think "well, at least they noticed." I don't see myself as 'skinny' when I look in the mirror or at pictures so it makes me feel good when people ask .
  8. I started full liquids the day after surgery. I think I would die if I had to do clear liquids for a week. The one day before surgery I had to do that was awful.

    soft drink

My doctor told me not to drink them either, but recently I had some. It tasted so good, but I know I have to stop. I'm not sure of the reasoning, but they don't hurt me when I drink them.
  10. I have always heard not to take calcium at the same time as your multi-vitamin because the calcium will not absorb correctly or something.
  11. I take two Vitafusion Fiber Gummies right after I take my Flintstones multi-vitamin (at night). Is this okay or should I be waiting in between taking the two? I tried searching online, but cannot find anything.
  12. I got .25 cc taken out of my band on Monday because it sometimes hurt to eat, and I would have heartburn and reflux some. I thought that would help my heartburn (it hurts right underneath my breasts I guess where the band is or could it be sour stomach?), but I am still having problems with it. I can eat so much better, and I can even eat a little more whereas I wasn't able to before I got the unfill. Does anyone else have heartburn issues or sour stomach issues? It started this morning after I drank some of my Protein shakes, and sometimes those do give me heartburn even before being banded.
  13. I posted this under the gallbladder thread, but I figure more people could help if I posted it separately. This morning when I woke up, I had this pain right under my ribs/sternum in the center where my stomach and band is I am sure. I hurts just sitting here, and it hurts to deep breath, to drink, to eat, to swallow. I did also get a small cramp just left of my belly button, but it subsided about 10-20 minutes after it began. What in the world is going on? I wasn't this way when I went to bed, and I don't think I ate anything new that I haven't tried before with the band. I am a little worried because of this pain. Could it be just irritated from getting an small unfill Tuesday or could it be my gallbladder. Of course, if I feel like this tomorrow, I will for sure call the doctor.
  14. If I do feel normal tomorrow, should I still call to get it checked out? I'm the type that if I feel better, I won't worry about it, but this may need checked out.
  15. Thank you for the good luck. I'm hoping I feel better in the morning, but it is awfully strange since I did get a .25 unfill on Tuesday.
  16. He did say I may need more taken out, but I can eat so much easier. It is just a strange feeling that I don't ever remember experiencing.

    Who stole my body??!

I hadn't really thought about that, but it may be a good idea. I still have a belly, but that is because I don't work it that often, and I think that is why I don't feel right or good.

    Who stole my body??!

I haven't reall felt like that, but I am about where I need to be weight wise, and I still "feel" fat. Everyone tells me I am so skinny, and I look like a beanpole, but I look at pictures, etc., and I still don't like what I see.
  19. Well. I think it may have actually started after I drank about 8 oz. of my Protein shake. I did feel a pressure there when I woke up, but it didn't really start until I drank something. I am going to call in the morning. The doctor did say I may need more taken out, but I am able to eat better besides today. Everything is going down fine. I'm not getting stuck or anything. I just have this sharp pain as it passed through. The only thing I did eat that I can think I may not have had before was white chocolate macadamia nut Cookies.
  20. I just tried eating some grits, and it hurts when the food passes through the band. Tea is doing the same thing.
  21. Thank you for your help. I don't know what is going on, but it hurts when I take a deep breath, and when I swallow anything (Water, etc.). I wasn't like this last night when I went to bed. It just started when I awoke this morning. If it continues, I will call the doctor.
  22. Can someone explain where the pain is and how it feels? I woke up this morning, and it hurts to take deep breaths. My left side as started hurting as well like just to the left of my belly button. I'm scared my band slipped or something else is going on.
  23. I believe it can even though it never happened to me. I was a few fills in before I started getting food stuck.
  24. I agree. You will not be able to eat all of the food at each meal. I eat Lean Cuisine, and things like that, but there is no way I can eat it all. I barely get half of it down. I just feel you would be wasting your money.
  25. I don't really have too many things I cannot eat. Bread is the biggest one that I cannot eat. I LOVE bread (bisquits, rolls, cornbread, etc.), and I may be able to eat a few bites if that was the only item I ate, but I don't want to try it. Pasta, potatoes, chicken, eggs, etc. goes down fine most of the time. I have never had a problem getting potatoes down, but I don't eat them often. Also, I don't know if others experienced this, but I am 13 months out from surgery, and my taste has changed dramatically. Most food just doesn't taste good to me anymore. It's strange.
