    dizzy - surgery related?

Thank you Angela. Could be for any reason you mentioned. Feels exactly like you described vertigo. Spinning when I move my head. I'll give the doc a call. Have a Happy Holiday.
  5. Been banded since April and doing well. EXCEPT that recently I have been getting very dizzy. Could this be a vitamin/iron problem. I will confess I have not been taking my vitamins. Has anyone else experience this or know any other reason. Thank you.
  6. Good luck Brandy... and everyone. I put it off yet another day, but swear I'm going in Monday for a little unfill - I'm just tired of the spitting. I love this site - it's been sooo good to have feedback from everyone and to feel normal.

    Hair Loss

The way I notice it is in the shower. I have to remove pretty large clumps of hair from the drain about 3 times each time I shower. I'm not overly alarmed because I've heard of it - thought it was mainly with bypass - but it can't be good. It's the only way I've noticed - no loss is obvious otherwise. I'm going to try nioxin.

    My cry for help

Leigh Ann, What stands out to me in your cry for help is "I am miserable". I can relate... while happy for the weight loss there is this misery that really is about fear. I know I need to have some fill removed, but I'm so afraid that I'll overeat if I do. I'm the one who started the "spitting in a cup" thread. I appreciate everyone's input so much and keep putting it off one more day to see if maybe I will just get through a "meal" like a normal person... it's been so long. With everything else you have going on - it's just one more frustration to bear. I'm going to call and schedule my unfill now and I hope you do too - I know you have doctor issues. Good luck, I feel your pain! But let's be positive that we can get this right and control ourselves with a little less fill.
  9. Thanks Morsaille, you are my first "reply" to my first post. Glad to keep it light and happy to know I'm not a lone spitter... good night

    Drinking & Steak

I have to answer honestly since this is an issue with me at times. I can not drink water like I used to... and I miss it. I can take small sips, but sometimes I really want to gulp a big glass or ice water and it can be frustrating. You'll find some days are better than others. As far as steak - same thing - sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. My most successful steak was one I had late in the evening, and it was a filet and went down great! Good luck!
  11. Yes, it's 3:30am and I decided it's time to find out if anyone has the same problem. When I feel food or water getting "stuck" I find that I get relief sooner if I don't swallow my saliva until I feel "clear". This means I look and act like a tobacco-chewer - spitting in a cup. I do this at restaurants, which is getting bothersome to my husband (can't imagine why ) I do it at home, right now in fact. I'm feeling a bit loopy right now, but would really like to know if this is common. I've been banded since March 30 - have had several fills and an unfill. I'm trying hard to master the band and am happy with the results... but it can be exhausting. Thank you for any replys.
