Hi everyone Well im back and a fully fledged bandster, omg cant believe i did it, first day was quite painful but travelled home via ferry today and was fine with painkillers, only real pain i have is in neck and shoulder freddy said this was prob due to them hitting a nerve, and yes ladies freddy boy is a dream boat couldn't swoon too much with hubby there lol, i dont feel hungry at all and drinks are enough for me at the min which hubby is highly amused at so anyone going soon the hospital is spotless and as a nurse i can really vouch for it, evrything was done so quickly no waiting around suppose i was lucky as the flights had stopped only 3 out of 8 of us turned up for the op so i went down at ten, so anywaqy good look to u all going soon Julie x -

Hi wannabe and July My hubbys pretty good thankfully i normally get my own way lol, July stand up for what u believe is best for u if ur hubby cant or wont support u more fool him something so important to u should be encouraged, but if not be strong and go for it alone, book for the 20th with me hun i'll make sure ur ok, :smile2: although i dont have as much as some to loose i feel this is my only option now i ve tried everything else, and if my hubby hadn't supported me id have gone alone although tough its what i need to do, i told one person at work who decided to tell evryone else and all i ve had today from them is just diet u dont need the op how i ve kept my mouth shut i dont know, i wish i had nt told anyone now:mad2:. so just do it girl u know how u feel and what u want if u dont do it now u'll regret it later and then feel resentment towards the people thta have discouraged u, and slinky what date have u booked for the op? i dont think theres anyone else going same date as me:sad: would have been nice to have someone there going through the same thing but never mind it will soon be done and over Julie x -

I totally agree with u slinky, My hubby was also very apprehensive about the op mainly because he thought that if i got skinny id dump him silly sod but i explained how unhappy i am and that it wasn't all for vanity i cant deny a small part is but mainly because im a nurse i feel it in my back knees and ankles every day and if i carry on gaining weight like this in 5 years i wont be able to do my job, and im doing it for my kids they lost their dad 8 years ago and i think of how they would cope without me as well, i know i sound a bit morbid but it goes through my head and i want to be around fit and healthy for them too, i think when they realise just how unhappy we are in our bodies they come to understand the reason s why we are doing it, so July sit him down and pour ur heart out tell him how u really feel and he'll come round and at the end of it he will have a fitter healthier sexier wife what more could he want, I hope it works out for u Julie x -

Hi jo Not really dragged been so busy at work, but now im startin to think about it again, i wont chicken out i hope lol it s something i ve thought about for a long time so i'll kick myself if i do suppose its the nurse in me and workin with other nurses doesn't help tellin me all their horror stories but im blankin that out i think their just jel lol cause ill be skinny and they'll still have their weight. what did u do for the pre op ? i m def gonna stick to it the easier the op the better for me i ve only booked a week off so hope thats gonna be enough time for recovery, have u had ur first fill yet? love julie PS anyone else booked in for the 20th april? -

Hi JO and all im glad u asked about the munchin like crazy lol mines not till april and i cant stop eatin, thought it was just me, i must say to the negative comments that have been made by persons who dont deserve to be named, that the support i recieved from everyone with regards to researching and deciding to have the op has been fantastic and everyone has helped me so much with advice and tips that it made my decision so much easier and i know that the good and bad points of banding left me knowing exactly what i was letting myself in for, so all who have helped me and countless others keep up the good work . And Jo good luck with ur op i look forward to hearin of ur progress I cant wait to be joining all u bandsters. julie x
