I have been reading about all or the pre surgery dieting, but in my case my doctor told me "No eating as of 12 midnight-the day prior to my surgery) I went to Outback that night, 7 pm and had a nice juicy steak with mashed potatoes. This was my last meal and my only ever trip to OUTBACK in Korea. What a fabulous place-very crowded. Now at 4 weeks from my surgery, I am eating solids, chicken, fish, mashed potatoes, pork and beans, pinto beans, 15 beans--anything with beans, tuna salad and crackers for lunch or chilibeans.:tt2: Lots of water in between and of course exercising. Last night I made it to 1 full hour on the stationary bike. This morning I am down one more kilogram-113.6 from 123.1. Next week I may go in for my 2nd FILL. I was expected to go yesterday (Sat) but I felt I was still loosing, so I am my wife decided to wait one more week. I travel 4 hours to the doc's and 4 hours back, to Seoul Korea from Kunsan Korea. :w00t: It's fun and relaxing on the Bus--no stress with driving the long distance and congestive traffic scene in Seoul. I am at the point in my surgery where I expect to be--still loosing. Yeah!!!

Tiffany, I paid out of pocket. About 7 million won. Just met the doctor on 5 Dec 09, we exchanged information, set a date, then took some lab tests and that was it. My wife, Unson took me there on 4 Jan 10 for the surgery. You would not believe the people having it done here, from all over the world. Hope this helps.

Well it's been 3 weeks since my surgery and I can tell you that my energy level is fantastic. Since I am eating protein meals, I have been loosing weight, along with exercising and plus having alot of energy to do things. I do however tend to get up around 3 or 4 each morning, which I don't mind--check my pc out you know. I have been watching my diet, eating protein food items like fish, chicken, and a few veggies, 3 oz of meat and 2 oz of veggie--I am full. Drinking lots of water in-between but if still hungry, a cheese stick, or a tuna salad and crackers. I have been exercising too about 45 minutes a night on my stationary bike. What feelings do I have: feel great about myself for loosing weight, self-esteem is rising, positive attitude, willingness to walk more-less stress on the knees--all this is noticeable. I have been maintaining a constant weight loss, but anticipate an increase in weight loss again real soon. I have already went down about two inches in the waist too. Feeling great now and looking forward to being 170 when my journey is near complete. Hang in there all banster's.

Tiffany, I went to the YEDAIN SURGICAL CLINIC, 2nd Floor Sinsa Building, 567-23 Sinsa-Dong, Gangnam-Gu, Seoul Korea. Tel: 82.2.3445.8617 Fax: 82.2.3445.8618, Email: fatmaster@fatsurgery.co.kr I hope this helps, it is the greatest thing I have ever done. Feeling great now and more active, and I am only on my 4th week. One fill too. Eating three small meals-fish, chicken, beef and a veggie, sometimes a shake in the morn or two eggs scrambled with cheese mixed in. Lunch is tuna salad and six crackers, lots of water in between and maybe a sugarless jello or pudding or a few oranges at night. Great doctor and staff--surgery in morn and you go home in afternoon. But since my distance to travel home was 4 hours I stayed there an extra night to be sure all was ok. It snowed us in there so it was a wise choice. My earlier blogs explains timelines and how I felt. Up to day 8 or 9 was soups and mushy foods. Week three I changed to solids, but started drinking lots of fluids and sugarless juices. Hope this helps you in your search.

Traveled to Seoul Korea by bus today, 3 hrs.:huh2: Then caught a subway train for 20 mins. Walked about 10 and finally made it to the doctor's office.:huh2: Busy day there, two more bands happening, but within 20 minutes I was weighted (14.5 pounds lighter in just 10 days) and my FIRST FILL, Ouch! felt like a bee stung me, but in a few seconds, 2 cc's were injected. WOW. Did not feel any changes immediately and then I had lunch at a Korean resturant, Soup, Pork, some rice, and a nibble of egg. I portioned it, 3 oz meat first then tailored the remaining items to a 1/2 cup measurement. Did not feel real full but I knew I needed to be careful--no problems. I feel great today and looking forward to another 14 pounds loss in two weeks. My "Fills" will occurr for me every two weeks because of the distance to travel. Oh what fun we are having now. :w00t: I returned home on another 3 hr bus ride and it was ok, not snowing here. Plan on exercising every night for 30 minutes on the stationary bike too. Maybe there will be a big weight loss next two weeks, we will see. Have a nice band day ALL!!!!!

Attention All, after some research I found a site that provided a chart for eating. After surgery, one should just have clear soups and vitamins, with water. Continue this for about day 8. Day 8,9 liquid diet, to include oatmeal thinned out. Some mushy mashed pot on day 10. Basically, I have cheese omelet or oat meal or shake and vitamin for breakfast; lunch is either tuna salad and 5 crackers and/or a microwave bowl of chili beans; dinner is mashed pot/mac cheese/a choice of either chicken, beef, or fish. Later on in the evening if still feel the hungar pains, a sugarless popsicle or tangerines-just the juice-do not eat the outside of the tangerines or an apple. Mr source for the recipe list is: LAPBAND POST OPERATIVE DIET INSTRUCTIONS. Go to google and check it out. Hope this helps for those who have received the surgery.

:thumbup:Well it's been 5 days since my surgery. How I feel is lightheaded and weak, but I think its due to the meds.:smile2: I finished my meds yesterday, but still have some discomfort in my mid section, and as if your burping it hurts the worst. I have been sticking to the liquid diet and lots of water in between. I have a thrist for water all the time. So far I have been loosing about 1 kg a day. Started at 123.1 and now down to 117.5. I also began walking and riding a stationary bike for about 30 minutes. I have added juices to my diet to quench my thirst but the right ones. Additionally, I am using high protein vitamins effective today. I hope my lightheadedness goes away prior to my beginning to work again in 8 more days. Does anyone know how long the soreness stays with you under the sterndom and on the left side. I do keep tabs of what I eat and drink, which is little. I am very happy that I chose LAP-BAND® surgery, as now I will feel great soon, my goal. Does anyone have a recipe list they wish to share with a beginner here. What do you eat each day for a week, at the 4 week point. I am on my second week next Monday so it's puree time and lots of soups. You may send any replies to giby97@hotmail.com. Thanks for listening.
