I have tried to lose weight for several years.  I did lose 40 lbs. on the LA Weight Loss, but put it back on plus some.  During my annual visit to by Dr., we discussed weight loss and I told her I was interested in Lap Band.  She recommended Dr. Ray and made my appointment, that was the first day of my six month Dr. assisted weight loss.  After my visi with Dr. Ray, I knew this is the right action for me to take.  While completing my six months, I was able to get all of my testing done, that way when it was time to submit to insurance, I had everything done.  After submitting to insurance, there was a few more tests I needed.  The only one I had trouble with was the pulminary clearance.  I just don't think some really knew what I needed.  I ended up going to my daughter's ped. Dr. and she gave me the clearance.  I had my surgery on De. 18th in Dr. Ray's surgical suite.  Everything went great, didn't have any pain, well other that gas pains after the surgery.  My surgery was scheduled for 11:0, but they didn't take me back until a little after 12 and I was home by 4.  The first night was rough due to gas pains, but after a few days they got much better.  The first week on the liquid diest wasn't bad at all, however the second week was hard.  I started my soft.mushey foods on the 1st, boy was I happy.  Still waiting for the 15th to start eating real food again.  I am so gald I decided to have the Lap Band and can't wait to see where I'm at in a year.  Oh, I have lost around 15 lbs.
