I was a stick skinny kid until I immigrated to the states from Jamaica at 10 yrs old. Then by some "miracle" I started gaining wt and has not stopped. I have always had very low self esteem because of my weight and decided I want to feel better about myself. I went back and forth about banding for a few yrs then decided I wanted to be healthier and live longer for my children. I started pre-op back in the summer of 09 and now here I am one two days before my surgery. Sacred out of my mind and feeling helpless. Knowing I made the right decision but i am beyond scared.
