    Please help !!!!!

Remember you are not a bad person for eating "bad food". Don't dwell in it, just pick yourself up and start again. You can do it!

    I gained 1lb

You are doing great! Your body weight will naturally flucuate by a few pounds due to hormones, water retention et... Try not to let it get you down. Remember, the initial few weeks after surgery are for healing. Hang in there, the scale will reward you for your hard work in time.
  3. Way to go! Keep up the great work!

    3rd fill

Sounds like you are doing great- keep it up
  5. A typical day for me is: Breakfast- protien shake- low carb Lunch- Tuna with light mayo on a serving of thin wholegrain crackers (10 carbs in the crackers) Snack- cottage cheese and berries (berries are low in carbs relative to other fruits) Dinner- 4 oz of lean meat (chicken, fish, lean porkloin) and a non-starchy veggie Snack- 1/4c almonds and a lowfat cheese stick
  6. The plan you described is pretty much what I went through. However I don't eat bread. I have had trouble with fiberous veggies a few times, but usually tolerate them fine. Good luck on your journey!

    Exercise Goals #3

30 minutes walk/jog on the treadmill. Decreased the time from 40 because I increased the speed. I will get back up to 40 in the next 4-5 days.
  8. I was told I could expect to loose 60% of my weight- which is 60 pounds. Apparently there are studies that show the average weight loss after two years is 60%. After 8 months I have lost 88.5 pounds. My goal is at least another 12- for a total of 100. I may go about another 10 beyond that.

    Excess Skin fears!

I believe there is really nothing you can do about excess skin. Once the elasticity is so minimal it doesn't "bounce back" there isn't much you can do short of surgery. I don't believe in any creams that work. Excersise is great, but it won't prevent or get rid of excess skin. That being said, it is my understanding that the slower you loose the weight, the more likely your skin will bounce back. Also age, how many times you've gained and lost weight and whether you've been pregnant also factor into the equation. Best wishes!

    Exercise Goals #3

I worked out with my trainer- we did legs. Didn't do cardio- my legs get so wobbly after we do legs. Tomorrow I will get on the treadmill and walk/jog for 40 minutes.

    The Scales of Justice...

Since surgery I have weight in once a week for the most part, although I have cheated a few times. I think the natural flucuations would drive me crazy. I always weigh first think in the morning in my underwear.

    Blood Pressure

I got off my blood pressure meds after weightloss. I had the symptom of being dizzy if I got up to fast. It may not be too soon to get of your med, or have it reduced. You may want to check in with your doctor. Are you working out real hard? That could be why your nauseous. Best wishes!

    Can't feel anything

You are doing just fine. When I first got banded I was afraid it was never going to work. Trust me, with fills you will get to that "sweet spot" where you are not hungry but everything stays down pretty well. It took me 3 fills to feel any restriction. Good luck on your journey!
  15. vlp1968

    No restriction?

It took me 3 fills to get any kind of restriction. Everybody is different. The main thing to know is that you will get there. Best wishes!
  16. I agree, your doc. seems to be off base. I would be aggressive with him, maybe he won't put more in but will do it more often. I don't know that you will be able to change his mind, but it's worth trying. My doc. is really good at listening to me and then deciding what to do. Good Luck!
  17. The band is a fickel thing. My story is I had .2 put in- and couldn't keep down protien shakes. The doc. took out .9 because he said there was swelling. He warned me that I would be hungry. However, I have been in a great place. Hunger under control and everything going down just fine. I can't explain it, but I'll take it.
  18. I agree with pervious posts. Be assertive with your doctor. Explain exactly how much you can eat and how you feel in terms of hunger. You might want to journal it and bring it will you to your next appointment. Good luck!

    First Date ??

I can understand your hesitation to tell him. Maybe once you know each other better you will be comfortable discussing it. In the mean time I would stick to the "I am full" scenerio. It's not a lie, you are full. He just doesn't have to know why. I think you will know when the time is right to bring it up. Best wishes, hope things go well with your new man.
  20. Compliments go a long way to keeping me motivated. Sounds like tha is the case for you too. Congrats!
  21. I think some people's ports are easier to find than others. My doc. doesnt have trouble, since I lost weight the port sticks out just a little.

    what is bping?

pbing stands for productive burping. It's when you throw up some or all of what's in your pouch. It typically happens when your too tight, eat to much too fast (too big bites, not enough chewing). It's not good but it doesn't feel horrible. The food basically comes right back up, no heaving or anything. For me, before it happens I get a pain in my chest with some nausea. Once I pb I feel fine.

    anxiety

Hope your enjoying your new car. Changes sure can produce anxiety. If it's really bad you might want to see a doc. about medication for anxiety. Hope you feel better soon. Just think of how much healthier and probably happier you will be as the weight comes off.

    Tight when sick??

I sure do feel for you. You had a lot happen all at once! You don't say how well things are staying down. If you can't keep fluids down, I would call the doc. Actually, you might want to call and let them know what's going on. Hope you feel better soon.
  25. As long as you can get water and shakes down I think you can wait it out. From what I've read on here, so doc. keep patients on liquids for a couple days after a fill. I would stay with liquids for 2-3 days then progress to mushie- just my humble opinion. Let us know how you do.
