  1. I don't really have any answers for you. I think that's good your going in to see your doc. Just tell them what's been going on and they will know what to do. Good luck!
  2. Thanks for the info- I was wondering when it started too. I also looked to add it to my list on tivo and couldn't find it yet.

    Feeling lousy!

Sounds like you are too tight for sure. That's why your having the acid reflux. You could eat that first night because swelling hadn't occured yet. I would call your doc. right a way and go in for a slight unfill. Until you can get in, you might want to try watered down protien shakes. They have helped me when I was too tight after a fill.
  4. How much and what are you eating? Are you satified with that amount? Are you hungry inbetween meals? It may be that you need a fill. Are you excersising? If not I highly reccomend it. Working out works wonders for weightloss. I think if you provide more information on what your doing people can help you out better. Best Wishes!

    yay me! :)

It is so tough to be out, away from the routine. You did wonderfull. I hope it shows up on the scale. Keep up the good work!

    Had a good week...

You are doing awsome! Good for you starting an excersise program so early in your journey. The only thing I would say is my trainer told me to do weights before cardio. Actually, I am not sure why. Maybe ask about it at the gym. Keep up the great work!
  7. Wow you've been through a lot! You have a great attitude despite a few setbacks. Congrats on your weight loss. I hope it's smooth sailing from here on out.
  8. For me, sweets are not something I plan to reintroduce into my eating plan. I consider myself a food addict, along with other addiction problems. I am not good at doing things in moderation. It is some relief to me that I don't have to worry about much or how often I can have certain foods. I will just stay away alltogether. I think everyone has to find a plan that works for them. If you can do sweets in moderation more power to you. Good luck!

    Pasta

I agree it's odd. During the weight loss phase I have eaten very low carb. I plan on introducing "good carbs" when I am maintaining (only 4 pounds to go!). I consider 100% whole wheat pasta a good carb.
  10. I was 6 weeks post op when I got my first fill. It didn't provide me with restriction. That didn't come until my third fill. Best wishes!
  11. A great nsv- keep up the good work!

    Post Op Questions

bnlluvr-You probably have swelling from the surgery. Do your best with the fluids, it will be much easier once the swelling goes down. Congrats on your surgery!

    Post-op Cheaters

I doubt your band slipped, that usually occurs from vomiting. When the band has slipped you can't keep even water down. Hang in there and try to stick to the plan. It does get easier!
  14. Sounds like your a bit too tight. That's good you called the office- Pbing that much isn't normal. You may want to stick to protien shakes until you get into the office.

    need to admit this...

Don't beat yourself up, it is not helpfull at all. Just pick yourself up and move on. Every meal is a chance to make healthy choices. Being out of town will be difficult but it can be done. I suggest bringing some protien bars along for times when there is just nothing that is on your plan to eat. Let us know how it goes. Good luck!
  16. I am so glad to read you had a good talk. Sounds like you are in a much better place now. Keep us posted on how it goes. Good luck!
  17. Can you keep the unhealthy stuff out of the house? If you live with people who insist on it (although nobody needs it) then keep it in a cabinet that you simply don't go into.

    I don't understand

I can't tolerate eggs. I get an uncomfortable feeling in my chest when I eat just a little too much.

    I'm so lazy

If you start working out you will have more energy. It is so hard to start but so worth it. Start off slow and gradually increase your intensity and/or your duration. You will be amazed at how much better you feel.

    Not losing :(

Stalls are so frustrating, but you will get through it. Try to focus on things like your clothes getting looser or having more energy, rather than the number on the scale. I only weigh myself once or twice a week, record it every Sun. My advice is to change things up. Start working out if your not already, and if you are try something new. Your body eventually adusts to what your doing. Changing up the calories you eat everyday may help as well. One day do 1200 another 1500 et.. Good luck!

    Oh oh, I'm Hungry

4oz of meat is what I've been told.
  22. I have found meals and Snacks that work for me- I don't have a ton of variety in my food intake. Breakfast- a low carb protien shake (I am very tight in the am.) Lunch/dinner Protien: Perdue perfect portion chicken breast Lean pork loin, tuna on kavili garlic crackers (only 50 cals and 10 g carb), fish, boca burger Veggie- brussel sprouts, asperagus, spinach, canned grean Beans, yellow squash Snacks low fat cheese sticks cottage cheese (they come in a snack pack- perfect size) berries (they are low in carbs) almonds (1/4 cup) Hope this helps! Good luck!
  23. You have a great attitude. You should do very well in terms of getting healthier. Good luck!

    Solid Food

Fish is a great start. Take small bites and chew well. It does take some trial and error to find what foods you tolerate, and what foods you don't.
