I was banded on April 9th and have had no problems with feeling full and I am seldom hungry. I'm taking my vitamins and doing some protein shakes along with soups, flaky fish and a bite or two of cheese. Egg drop soup is a fave !! Haven't had any other types of meat and i'm still a little apprehensive about trying them. Don't give up !!! I'm down 41lbs since i started the Journey with around 100 to go. Good Luck -
Self-Fill are you doing this?

I'm an RN/medic for the last 27yrs and although I've acsessed tons of ports, even I would'nt do it to my self...that's just crazy...the infection rate is high EVEN if you KNOW what your doing !!! -

I 've been doing the same thing, but I'm only 1 week out...I use it more for entertainment than anything else and I really don't fret over what it says...I just know that I'm not eating like the old me so ....by the law of averages I GOTTA lose it sooner or later !! LOL good luck !! -
Hey all, My name is sal B. from south nj. I started this project in october of last year and got my band Friday of last week. Pre-op diet was a little difficult, substituted a couple eggs and some tuna with my prescribed salads and according to my surgeon (Dr. Reich out of SOCH ) my liver was the right size and the surgery went ok. The first two days were tough, some pain, but DEFINITELY bearable. Today, I feel pretty good !! I'm home and starting my old routine without one thing that ruled my life...FOOD !! Not even thinking about eating, which is all I EVER thought about. A 12oz coffee isn't a beverage...it's a meal !! I'm doing the ice pops and some shakes and although I'm a little sore, I'm good !! My only suggestion for people starting this journey, is to start preparing early, listen to the experts, and stick to the program. Good Luck to all and i'll keep ya posted. (starting weight: 315 weight at surgery: 285)
