Doctor in Mexico - Dr. Francisco Contreras
lpbndinfo replied to man-inda-middle's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Which band do you have Nataliesmom... ? IF you want email me personally and I will see what I can do for you. Who was your surgeon? There was a group of doctors that were working out of Betancourt and from what I understand the surgeon started do somethings that were not ok... And Andres broke away from them and built this new facility and will never be forced to work in less then excellent standards... 11 months ago, he and 2 other doctors opened this brand new surgery center. I cant begin to tell you that I have compassion in my heart for what you must have went through emotionally but... I have been working from the other side and would be happy to help you.. Maybe together we can get your situation fixed. My personal email is bandinfo@verizon.com I hope to hear from you... I had my surgery done at a big hospital in Monterrey and suffered a port infection.... 4 months post-op... Take care -

Sorry Mindy but you do have it wrong... I put my my number and my email on the postings because I want to be transparent, not shady... I dont have a job description nor an agenda.... I will be there to encourage and answer questions as I feel necessary... I have to let you know that because of all this craziness.... Folks are writing to me personally asking questions and thanking me for standing up and taking the time to explain who I am.... Its sad that you cant let this go.... I feel you know that I am here with the purest of intentions and you still continue to try and cause negative reactions... Tell ya' what.... call my business line and tell me that you have the band and you are having complications... and see how I handle your call... If you think I am out here soliciting.... Do the research before accusing... my number is 866-484-2263. By the way... I wish this lady that is on Medicaid could read what you have posted.... I have been helping her to get the band in Mississppi and telling her the next step ...each step of the way. I will never be quashed by the negative things you may post. I will continue to help all that I can. I feel because of my intentions, I am successful... Because if you dont get hung up on "making $$" and just share and help.... You will be blessed... I have been blessed with the folks that I have helped regardless of who did their surgery and if I assisted them in Mexico/States. I have one request from you........ Everytime you feel the need to post something about me... answer at least 2 posts where someone needs help. That way not all is lost. -

I'm Getting the Insurance Runaround... Need Help!

Mindy, I appreciate your thoughts and suggestions... but I perfer to help folks individually for many reasons... one up front would be... Everyone has an opinion on the best recommended choice.. and I am not interested in competing to share what I hae either learned or experienced... if a patient or person asks me what I do for a living then I am fine with telling them. BEcause of my associations and jobs I feel that it might appear that I am trying to convince or act as an authority on a certain given subject. When I talk with someone I want it to be with the most true and accurate info that I have found... I also wont slam doctors or hospitals anywhere in the world... I was taught as a young girl that... 1. If you dont havesomething nice to say, say nothing.... 2. If I slam someone else, it says more about me then the place I am slamming.... So, all these postings have been really interesting... It just seems to be a real hornets nest. I didnt come on here for at least the first 3-4 years that I have been working in this field because I didnt want folks to be confused who I am... Or be accused of what you are suggesting. I now work very hard and when I have a few minues, I dont mind coming out and helping others.... Sorry if it comes across (to you and wassabubblebutt) that I am not saying who I am... but that isnt really true.... I want to come across as a bariatric success and share that... when and with whom I choose. I read posts quite often.... some just touch my heart to the point that I feel that I may be able to encourage or steer them into a better direction (not a better doctor).... As always best wishes... -

Mindy, I dont nmind helping folks on an individual basis.... I am not interested in educating the "shady coordinators"... I give my work phone number and my work email (and it's my personal as well) so that it IS understood that I am someone that works in this field. Not only that, I feel that if I wanted to be shady I would do a better job at disguises... and use the username msfluffbunny or something non-related.... Oh to address your first question.... I dont work for "a" doctor... I work with several docs in Mexico and the states.... What I do with absolutely no $$ in my pocket, is help people that are having problems...regardless of who did their surgery, help those who DONT have the $$ find a way (in the states and in Mexico), and if someone is just plain scared I dont mind talking with them and encouraging folks.... Not everyone that is here to help... has their hand out. I have come on here more in 2 days then I have in 2 years just defending myself with all of crazy paranoia that seems to be present. I want thank those who sent an email thanking me for the explanations on wanting to help.... I hope maybe... everyone will do things in the way they wish... and allow others to have the freedom to share in the way they are most comfortable. I personally like to help a peron on an individual basis.... That is my choice and if I can be of assistance from someone that NEEDS to share or have questions about any of the bariatric procedures... I am happy to share what I have learned.... Anyone can write to me individually at bandinfo@verizon.net -
I'm Getting the Insurance Runaround... Need Help!
lpbndinfo replied to LosingItIn08's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
First of all, I am not a recruiter... Secondly, I have worked for doctors in the past... I use to work as volunteer but through countless hours and my day job suffering, I had to make a decision to help people that are looking for alternatives to being able to afford help with wls. I decided that working for a doctor is not what is best for everyone. I feel that there are several good doctors all over the world, as well as bad ones. Through out the years I have gained knowledge about doctors and places... I dont slam other doctors (or someones choice...) I believe that each person has to make that decision for themselves. When I come to these boards which if you see I have posted less then 15 posts.... I do not come out here to recruit or drive business.... People have legitimate questions and just want advice on possibilities. I have information that I am happy to share with people that dont have insurance and cant afford Mexico... or just dont want to go to Mexico. I talk with individuals about this... I am not here to defend myself nor solicit business. The patients I work with will tell you that I am happy to teach and if they choose a different path, I am happy that I could be of some assistance and let them know that I am always available... It is really ashame that the coordinators that are out there cant share for fear of attack from those who post out here. I have spent more time explaining who I am then actually helping a person that may have a question or concern. I wish everyone the best in their journey... I think that you have to do a lot of research when deciding which doctor and facility you are planning to have your surgery at. I have learned a lot about doctors in Mexico as well as in the states. There are certain "pat answers" that are given whether they are true or not, by doctors and staff. I try to help people weed thru the curriculums and posts about doctors and places... I can not help that these are shark infested waters... here and at other message board sites. It is because of this that I rarely come to answer questions... Or even ask others about their postings. If everyone would stick to their story, their personal experience and didnt gossip.... Because gossip is taking one persons story (hearsay) and spreading it like wild fire. Before posting things about doctors it may be wise to ask yourself.... IS it true? Is it accurate? Has the person posting these horrific situations been checked out to see if it is their experience. Are you sure that the person posting doesnt work for a doctor and wanting to stop business for another team? For myself, I try really hard not to get caught up in this sort of stuff. I help people for free and not everything I do is to put $$ into my pocket. I hope there are other coordinators, doctors, nurses, patients that DO help without bashing and wanting to gain personally... It is is ashame that these message boards cant be open enough to let those who want to help... help. -
I wanted to share my experience about this facility. I have been there and was so impressed with the place, the doctors and the staff.... The patients that I have talked to, claim that the care was excellent and didnt need a thing. I hope those that are looking for a reputable place consider this group. Best wishes to you all...

Sommetimes insurance wants you to get frustrated in having weight loss surgery. That way they win.... Anyway, depending on your coverage, it may not be as expensive to do this out-of-pocket. I help folks all the time that either cant get insurance or they are denied.... Let me know if I can help Patti 866-484-2263 -
I think I'm too fat for my first fill....
lpbndinfo replied to tommaney's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Tell your doc to use fluoro.... He needs to use a huber needle as well... It is what is recommended by the manufacturer anyway. When you lay on your back it makes it a lot easy for the doc to locate it... He is stupid to think that you will lose weight without a fill........... Obviously he must be thin as a rail... Best wishes and consider finding a different fill doc. -
Delli, I had the lapband for 3.5 years and lost 175 lbs. I had an erosion and now have the sleeve. I help many patients go to Mexico for surgery. I have found in my experience with patients (including me) that you can "eat around theband" we quickly learn tricks NOT to throw up and eat what we want. Feel free to contact me directly and I will share some tips that might get you back on the right path.. Patti bandinfo@veizon.net

I found that Blue Cross and Blue Shield doesnt cover the Lapband. I live in Texas and can share my experience with you... Feel free to contact me anytime.... I was banded 8/26/02 and debanded on 1/6/6... It is a great surgery... but there are other options out there and that should be considered. Take care and best wishes... Patti bandinfo@verizon.net
