I'm short in stature, was 200plus pounds give or take a few and miserable. I had tried all the diets, diet pills and etc. My sister told me about  the lapband and i did some research. Found Dr. Heikier and Dr Keilin . My surgery was approved the second time around by medicare out of pocket was around 1000 dollars. I have been to my goal wt 135 lbs. But had to have an unfill March of 2009, needless to say i gained wt. I have since been refilled and the scales are still not moving I can't keep anything down but liquids. However I would not trade my band for anything.
