I have struggled with my weight my whole life. I am 28 and I have tried various diet or diet pills that were always a tempory fix. I attended a seminar about the lap band surgery over 7 years ago but my insurance at the time excluded it from it's services.  I have since gotten married and had my son. When I hit 300 lbs I had enough. I was lucky enough that my husband's insurance covered the procedure and so I began the 6 month qualifications to complete my surgery.  I had it 9-15-09.  It has been an experience. The Friday before my surgery I weighed in at 312 lbs and I was a tight size 24.  I am now on my way to a new me!
