I got my Lap Band surgery 12/29/09. I am currently 5 days into it and have had a bit of a difficult time. My orginial plans were to finish up my last insurance required appointment in mid Dec and to have my surgery in the begining if the new year! But I was notifyed by my insurance company on the 27th of Dec that my my coverage would be changing with the new year and it would no longer pay for Barriatric Surgery. So I was immidently scheduled for the surgery on the last available appointment for the year...... 2 days later! So with no time to prepare myself, mentally or pshsically. Along with no time to prepare my family, or work schedule, I must say it has been difficult. None of which is a problem with the surgery itself....just REALLY bad timing! The first couple days have been hard, but I am starting to get over the extreme hunger and pain. And I am looking forward to the up coming changes. I have found comfort in reading up on other peoples experiences and have found this site very informative. Thanks to all who have helped and to all whom Im sure will help in the future!
