Veterans, I had my first fill on Monday, Feb 1, 2010. Since then, it seems like I wake up with nausea-very similar to morning sickness. I have not thrown up, but feel like I could at anytime. Is this common and if so, how did you fix it. I know there is no way I could be pregnant-total hysterectomy 9 years ago. Thanks for any suggestions.

Any one banded on or around 12/29/09

Ok, so I had my first fill today. Doc put in 1.5 in my band. He numbed my stomach. He missed my port the first time, so I am very sore and bruised, but I will live. Hope I start to fill some restriction. He says I am doing very well, so I guess I should be happy. I just want to be 199. Haven't been there in 15 years!!! -

I was banded 12/31/09. I can't get my ticker to update, but I am down 36lbs. I have my first fill tomorrow and I am a little nervous. I have very little restriction right now and I am just relying on will power-which is fading fast. I have a bad habit of just not eating, so I am really working hard on eating 3 good small meals. I'll let you know how tomorrow goes. -
Does anyone else have pain on the lower side of their abdomen? My pain is on the left side down low. It almost feels like I have been burned-even the skin hurts to touch. I am 2 weeks post op and I seem to have healed very well. My wounds look good, just can't stand for anything to touch my lower left abdomen?

pains after surgery
baseballmom5 replied to baseballmom5's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Talked to my doc last week about the pain. He said that is normal. It is like an internal bruise. He said they have to cut muscle and fat to put the port in and that is exactly where I was complaining of soreness. It is getting better. I think I am going to buy one of those stomach binders-see if it helps. I am back working with my trainer-so maybe that would give me some support. Let us know if you find anything else out. -
Ok, so I am having my first fill on Monday. What should I eat that morning. I have the fill at 1:00. I don't want to get sick, any suggestions? Did you have pain? What will it be like? As you can tell, I am a little nervous.:smile2:

Recovery Time????

Yep. My doctor made me walk several laps around the nurse's station. Then he reminded me to walk at home-to ward off infection and pneumonia. -
Recovery Time????

I had my surgery on Thursday and went back to work on Monday. I felt great and it helped me stay busy-so I didn't think about food. I teach special needs children-so my job is pretty active. -
Hi, My name is Sherri and I am from Missouri. I was banded on 12-31. I am new to the board. All of your posts are very helpful. I am doing well with the liquid diet, but I am a little concerned with the pureed diet. I just don't know if I can eat pureed chicken and fish. Do you have to puree it or can you just break it up and chew it really well? Any help or recipes would be appreciated. Thanks.
