I have had a weight issue for many years and finally decided to do something about it. As the old saying goes "I tried everything". It took me a year and half to get started through the process and make up my mind, but I feel that I made the right decision. I am ready to start life in this new year and look forward to the next decade being healthy and happy for myself and my family. I am excited about this new gift that I have given to myself and look forward to doing new things. I would someday love to go on a zipline through the jungle, hike some mountains, ride in a kayak, go parasailing in Mexico, fit in an airplane seat without being charged double. Things that skinnier people take for granted. One thing that prompted me towards this surgery is that my health was suffering, I was on the way to being diabetic, knee problems, sleep apnea, thyroid issues, depression the list goes on. And besides I was not the best example to my daughter in eating habits. Way to many Sonic meals and Mcdonald's meals. To many days of feeling like crap and being absolutely exhausted and tired just trying to live my life, by going to work, being a wife and parent. Besides, people out there are just not very nice to fat people. Not everybody, but there are times that you are the biggest person in the room and the most invisible. I know that this is a tool and it will still take dedication and hard work. I AM EXCITED FOR THE FUTURE, and I have not said that in a long, long time. So here's to a new year, new me and a better improved healthier life!!!!
