Hey how are you! thanks for the add. I had my surgery during last Christmas break and I'm doing ok but being a resident student has been working against me a lot! I think there tons of added struggles for someone who gets the band while in college. Keep me updated!

Well I have definitely not been posting on here like I would have like to. All I can say is this 20 credit semester is really starting to catch up to me! Just to briefly update on here It has now been 3 MONTHS since my surgery!! I cannot believe how fast the time has gone by. I have been extremely busy and I suspect that is why time seems to be racing by. At this moment I am 38 lbs down since my surgery date. It is amazing to me that I could have been carrying around that much excess weight. I really don't notice a difference much in how my clothes fit or anything yet, but I guess I really didn't expect to until I hit at least 50 lbs. Looking at pictures though I can see a difference and people have started to ask. I have had 4 fills so far but the 3rd one I do not think actually went into my band. So last week I had a 2 cc fill under fluoroscopy to make sure everything was reaching my band ok. I can definitely tell the difference with that extra 2 cc s in there and I feel like I am doing a lot better because of it! I hope to see more progress especially now that the weather is getting so nice and I can spend more time exercising outdoors! I hope to keep update a lot more frequently but easier said than done. Until then...

If you are having trouble swallowing water I would definitely think that your fill is too tight. You should get in touch with your surgeon and see if he can take a little bit out.
I am having the opposite problem. I have had three fills already and still little to no restriction. I have an appointment this Wednesday with Radiology to see if I am getting injected into my port or not.

I'm doing just ok so far. Its been about a month and a half since I had surgery and I'm not doing as well as I would like but I know that its is my fault, mostly because of my extremely busy class schedule this semester.
I did get my second fill today though so I'm hoping that helps because I was able to eat way too much recently.
How are you doing ? I see its been 2 weeks since your surgery. I can't believe how fast time is going by I feel like I was just at 2 weeks too.

Hey found you through the college thread. I'm also a Bio major with a chem minor! I recently got banded (Jan 5th) and this semester has been crazy!!
I'm still getting used to the band and trying to do good with my 20 credit course load this semester! Needless to say the past month has been challenging.
