I have been over weight my whole life.  I have lost weight to near normal levels twice in my life but almost immediately started gaining it back.  The past ten years, my attempts to lose weight have been completely unsuccessful.  Despite this, I consider myself a fairly healthy person.  I am fairly active and like to work out.  My motivation for getting the p\band is because the excess weight is causing increasing joint and back pain making it very difficult to maintain an active life style.  I do not want to reach sixty and be debilitated.  It took me over a year to jusmp through the insurance hoops.  I am happy to have had my surgery on Oct. 30 2009.  I have not yet reached restriction so am trying to be patient with myself and the process.
