So after have my annual physical exam in September 2009, my primary doctor recommended me to have Lapband surgery and I was opposed to it thinking I could still lose weight on my own or not wanting people to think I was taking the easy way out. But ohh hun was I wrong. I talked to my parents about it and they encouraged me to think about it. So I started doing my research and was starting to actually consider getting the sugery done. So last week I called my doctor and told her I decided to go through with it. I got a call right away from the Lapband office to schedule my first visit which I have on January 7, 2010...WooHoo I am so excited. I've been looking on youtube and lapbandtalk.com for success stories and its awesome. I've been struggling with my weight my whole life that I have been dieting since the age of 12...talk about a pain in the booty. LOL. I have no idea what to expect from my first visit or how long it will take for my insurance to approve but my mind set is ready to make this lifestyle change and work hard.
