I am a 46 yr. old married woman with three children and work fulltime. Today I was told I need to take medication to control my rising sugar levels. I have never had a weight issue until about 5 years ago when I changed careers and now found myself sitting at a desk 9+ hours a day instead of being on my feet but never adjusted my eating or exercise routine. I am tired it seems all the time, clothes don't fit and instead of looking for a outfit that I like, I look for an outfit that covers my stomach. I have been taking anti-depression medication for little over a year, thinking my mood was a result of our oldest daughter going off to college but in hind sight, I see it is not the loss of my daughter's company but my dissatisfaction with my weight. I feel loosing weight is like a catch 22. I know the benefits of exercising that I will have increased energy, burn calories, etc. but I don't have the energy to take the first step. I am going to look into this procedure and see if this is something for me in jump starting my new lease on life.
