I have been heavy since 12 years old, getting larger as the years went on. I had tried EVERYTHING, even a wako Dr. who attempted the gastrial bypass in 1984 who had me open for 2 hours and did nothing...said he could not find my stomach. lol Anyway I just got sick of it all, trying and gaining, trying and gaining. My wonderful insurance I pay so much for and my 401K savings said NO we do not pay for cosmetic. My health decided I need the surgery not cosmetic, course I will be just that much hotter when I get down.I spent months getting the money together and 2009 my Christmas present to myself was the surgery. I took a friend with me and off to Mexico. Well we landed in the middle of a major drug war going on with guns everywhere and came home to the snow blizzard of the decade. Other than that the procedure, doctors, hospital, and care were wonderful. I recommend anyone to go and get it done and get the lap band, the bypass is to extreme and the band works just as well. I have lost 15 pounds the first week and feeling great...NOT hungry at all and back to work in 2 days.More later as I progress into the healthy, sexy person I was always meant to be.Ruth
