  1. Hmm well the docs nurse just called and said I'm on too MUCH Synthroid now. She wants it DECREASED to 125 mcg daily. I still see her tomorrow to discuss it with her.
  2. And I should add that I have hypothyroidism. I currently take Synthroid at 175 mcg a day. Not sure if it's related or not but thought I'd add it in.

    Gibberish....

I must admit I noticed that yesterday and couldn't decide if I should know what it meant or not:) I thought maybe everyone else knew but me. LOL I have no clue.

    I've lost something

LOL! I had to laugh at this. When I lose weight my boobs always go very small, flat and saggy but dh just spent $13K to build him a shop/man cave outside so I figure I can spend the same amount on boobs right?
  5. For full liquids I actually did any soup I wanted I just put it in the blender first. It's more filling that way:)

    Approaching 1 year

    Congratulations!!!
  7. I have lots of nasty stinky gas since getting banded. It's embarrassing. I know I can't be the only one b/c I did a board search and found a few posts about it. What I don't get is why? If I'm not drinking anything carbonated and not using straws wouldn't I have less gas and air in my stomach? Have any of you tried Devrom? It's supposed to take the smell out. flatulence

Who else has lots of gas?

I'm not sure how it works but it's FDA approved and the testimonials on the site look really good.
  9. A week ago I posted about being able to fit in my smaller jeans finally. Well as of today not only do they fit but I can pull them off WITHOUT unbuttoning them:) I really haven't lost any more weight so I don't know what's going on but I like it!!
  10. I've always, always drank a diet coke first thing in the morning. Water just isn't good to me that early. I'm looking for a replacement but I still want something sugar free. Do they make sugar free canned lemonade?
  11. Personally I think diet pills are a very short term solution. I got the Lap Band so I wouldn't need them anymore. I wouldn't do it b/c they do make your heart race and cause cardiac side effects. I would just stick it out and wait.

    Hello - Intro

The meds mostly just need to be crushed right after surgery. After that as long as they are smaller than an M&M they should be fine. If your Wellbutrin is the extended release then it's not crushable and you may need to change meds. Anything extended release can't be crushed.
  13. My doc doesn't use xray to do fills. I feel for you. I know another lady that lives in Canada that wants a band but it's so much higher there then it is in the states or in Mexico for that matter.
  14. Maybe it's something related to my period? They left my ovaries and my period would have come any day now.
  15. You know I've been barely hitting my daily protein requirements. I had a hysterectomy last week and just didn't feel like eating much. I guess I should add some shakes back to my routine now.

    got a ?

You should definitely call and ask more questions. That sounds a little odd although my insurance once covered the insertion of an IUD they just would not cover the IUD itself I had to pay cash for that part so I guess anything is possible.
  17. My first fill is still 2 weeks away. I so wish it would come sooner.
  18. LOL! I love that! My kids just keep asking when I'm gonna eat less and lose some weight. Duh I've already lost 20 pounds.

    Pain meds after surgery

Honestly the only pain I had was mild gas pain. I used Gas X. I never even opened my Lortab.
  20. When does the next Season start? I could have sworn I saw a commercial for it but I tried to search for it to add it to my DVR list and nothing comes up.
  21. Oh gosh. I hope it closes up and heals for you soon.
  22. I chose Lap Band over Bypass b/c 1. It's less invasive and has a lower death rate 2. It's completely reversible 3. It has a lower risk of side effects 4. Less downtime/quicker recovery time
