  1. I hadn't really thought about it. I'm just excited to be here finally!!
  2. I was banded in August this year and then in September I had a hysterectomy. No problems at all. They did say that my band had to be EMPTIED before they would do surgery though and I had to stay on Phenergan the day of and several days after surgery to prevent any nausea/vomiting. Between my band and my hysterectomy I feel like a brand new HAPPIER woman!! I feel awesome now!

    Nsv

    Awesome!!!
  4. Okay I put this in a separate post also but I changed things up yesterday. I ate MORE calories than normal, really pushed the water, stayed away from the salt AND did 30 minutes on the treadmill. Today I am FINALLY at 199!! So excited! Now I need to work on getting to 180 next.

    Surgery Approved!!

    Congratulations!!!
  6. I've been getting a scopalamine patch before my surgeries lately. It gets rid of the usual nausea and vomiting I get after surgery. Good Luck and let us know how it goes!

    Couch to 5K ?

BTW those of you doing this on a treadmill what speeds are using? I mean for the brisk walk and then the jog?

    Couch to 5K ?

Okay guys I tried to do workout 1 today. I got through the warm up and the first 2 jogging sessions and I couldn't do anymore. I was exhausted and my calves were burning. I continued to just walk though and got 30 minutes total in. How long before I build up my endurance so I can actually do the jogging with no issues?
  9. I'm so close to 199 but I just CANNOT get to it. I've been 202 for a week now:(
  10. I would think your a bit too tight. I'd call on Monday and see what the doc says.
  11. I would love to see them do a show just for women and one just for men. I think the results would be more accurate that way.

    my first nsv

    Congrats!! Way to go:)
  13. I have a few questions guys. How many calories do you eat daily? I've only been eating about 800 a day and I've stopped losing again. Should I up my calories a little to see if that would help? The last diet I did was Weight Watchers about a year ago. I consumed 1200 calories a day and lost 2 pounds a week every week. What kind of meats do you buy? I bought lean ground beef, lean pork, boneless skinless chicken breast, etc but I'm finding those cuts cook up drier and can be hard to get down. Since I'm not able to eat much anyway should I buy fattier cuts so they will be more tender? Also I'm always thirsty and I can still drink a glass of Water pretty fast with no issues but my bariatric coach says I should only sip and not take big drinks. Why is that?? Thanks!!

    First fill shock!

I didn't have any problems with that. So how many CC's did they put in?
  15. IMO I think taking pictures every 2 weeks is really important! It's great to compare them all and see the differences. You look awesome!!
  16. Congratulations!! I'm right behind you. Just a few more pounds to go:)
  17. I was banded in August. I really had no pain other than the gas pains. I never even opened my Lortab and I didn't get pain meds in the hospital either. It was honestly the best decision of my life:) My self esteem is through the roof now. You will do fine and have awesome results:)
  18. Well I've had only one fill of 1 cc but my surgeon put in 3 cc's when he did the surgery so I had 3 cc's in there all along and didn't know it.
  19. You have to take pics girl! That way you have something to look back at:)

    Saving Money

That is a great idea! I'm spending way less also and I'm LOVING it!
  21. Congratulations!!! Can we see some before and after pics??

    No regrets, but....

My FIL told me you just need to push back from the table. Yeah Right. The way I see it we've all worked really hard to get to this point. There's nothing easy about it and there's definitely nothing easy about food struggles. Just ignore them.

    Port: Where's yours?

Mine is right below my bottom left rib. I can feel it but you can't see it, well not yet anyway.
  24. I eat a cup. That's what my post op diet papers say. I have restriction now so after 1 cup I'm full. Once you get restriction it definitely makes things easier.
