  1. My surgeon actually told me not to bother with beans/peas/lentils b/c they have very little protein. He says they are a good source of Fiber but I shouldn't use them to replace protein. I'll try cutting things up even smaller and see what that does.
  2. Yes I am and I'm proud of that but I just feel stuck right now. I go back and forth between the same 3 pounds.
  3. What can I do with it? By itself I don't really like it. But I hate to waste money. What can I add to it to make it taste better?

    Tummy Tuck

I have no advice for you. I just started this journey myself but once I hit goal I plan on having a tummy tuck. Good Luck to you!
  5. Good Lord! That price alone is depressing! I've added B12 and D3 to my daily Vitamins and I am feeling a bit better day by day.
  6. I have hypothyroidism. My last labs were done 8 weeks ago and they actually showed I was on too MUCH Synthroid. I also have sleep Apnea. She said it could be that my thyroid meds are now too low, or it could be that my sleep apnea is getting worse. She doesn't really think it's my sleep apnea though she said it should get better now and not worse. She did labs yesterday to check my Thyroid levels, blood count, Iron and B12. Those should be back today. If they are all good then she will do an overnight Oximetry study which basically will show what my O2 levels are doing while I'm sleeping. If they aren't good then I'll do another sleep study. In the meantime- I had a hysterectomy in September. They left my ovaries but my Ob/Gyn said they still could shut down for a while. So are there any female hormones that would make me feel so tired/sleepy all the time? She also gave me some Nuvigil. It's supposed to help give you energy and wake you up. She said if all tests are negative than I should just try the Nuvigil and see what it does. Any thoughts/advice? They should call back today about my labs. I'm sort of hoping it is my Thyroid or my iron, or my B12 or a combo of it all. I'm hoping it's not my sleep apnea at all.
  7. Well he added another 1/2 cc yesterday so I'm now at 5 1/2. I've lost 5 pounds in the past 3 weeks which isn't too bad I guess but he just keeps telling me my problem isn't my fills my problem is that I'm not getting enough protein. He says an extra protein shake a day will keep me full and curb my cravings- I've never had a protein shake do that for me though. I'm getting 65-75 grams of protein per day everyday. The most discouraging part for me is that I haven't had restriction in weeks and I've been so hungry, but I can't eat steak or chicken or roast. I can eat pork if it's fresh and hot. It's hard to be starving and limited on food choices you know? Especially when the doctor is pushing me to fill up on protein.
  8. My hypoglycemia symptoms. Dieting used to be so hard for me. When I would cut calories I had a lot of issues with my blood sugar dropping. I would be shaky, tired, weak, sweaty. Since my first fill though I really haven't had problems anymore. I'm assuming that's b/c my food is digesting slower? It sure is nice to be without it!

    199.8!

    Congratulations!!!
  10. I too have hypothyroidism. I've had it for 15 years now. I'm losing great. So far I haven't noticed that it's slowing me down at all.

    14 weeks and 50% down!

    Congratulations! That is amazing:)
  12. I'd just try to swallow them whole. If they are small they should go down no problem.
  13. I would add in some more calories. 600 is way too low and your body may not lose if it thinks your starving it. Try putting skim or 2% milk in your protein shakes.
  14. I go for my next fill today! I can't wait:)
  15. I get my next fill Tuesday. Hopefully that will help me lose some more. Not sure if that will help my belly though.
  16. I'm confused. For the past 3 weeks I'm starving all the time and I can eat way more than I should. I'm also hungry again within 2 1/2 hours of eating a meal. I feel like my restriction is gone. I can eat everything easily except roast, chicken breast and steak. When those go down I feel a pain in my chest. They don't actually get stuck but they do hurt. My cousin who's been banded over a year now says that means I don't need another fill. I have another fill scheduled for Tuesday though so is she right?
  17. That's great Beachbunny! I've had people pointing out to me that I need smaller pants. I've been wearing belts so my pants stay up just fine but I have a terribly saggy butt. So I went down a size. Now my butt isn't saggy anymore but my belly is accentuated. I look like I'm a little pregnant:( I guess it's time to start working out more.
  18. I never, ever drink with my meals. I went from being full on a cup of food to starving after eating just a cup of food. That's why I was thinking I need a fill but then my cousin just confused me more.
  19. I can eat pork chops, hamburger meat, hamburger patties and chicken if it's in a casserole but it still takes a good bit to fill me up and I get hungry soon after.

    I Lost Snooki!!

    LOL!! Congratulations! You look AWESOME!
  21. Good luck today! I hope it goes smooth for you.
  22. I've lost like 4.5 pounds in the past 3 weeks. I just don't have enough restriction. I go Tuesday for my third fill. I'm hoping that will help.

    Severe Leg Pains

I've had knee pain for 11 years now. If you have insurance I suggest you see an orthopedic doctor. Mine hurt all day long. I have what's called patellofemoral knee pain. It will never go away completely but it's more manageable now that I have a specialist working with me on it. For me the best thing I've found for it is Tylenol BUT you have to get the Arthritis pain formula. It's the strongest Tylenol you can buy. It does wonders for my knees.
  24. It's not a big pill. It's pretty easy to swallow. I'm just concerned about taking it daily b/c of the effects on your heart and the fact that it is a controlled substance. It's $20 a month on my insurance.
