  1. LOL! Maybe I can get a deal like that:)
  2. I've never tried yoga but I do enjoy walking/ jogging on my treadmill. I never liked it until I started using the Lolo burn app on my iPhone. Lolo burn walks you through each workout and makes it seem easier than it really is. I love it now. Congrats! 47 pounds is still a huge amount:)
  3. or does it really work? Since being banded I've seen it mentioned in different places. I can't understand though how or why it would work so I'm wondering is it for real? Have any of you tried it?
  4. Have any of you tried Jay Robb's protein powder? I'm wanting to try it out and you can buy sample packs off their website. I'm trying to choose though. They have egg protein and Whey Protein. Is one type of protein better than the other?
  5. Something else I wanted to post. I went shopping last night and I was able to buy some stuff from Aeropostale and it actually fits:) We've had an Aeropostale store here for 5 years but their sizes only go up to XL so I've never been able to shop there before.
  6. I told dh when I get to goal I want a tummy tuck and a boob job. He was all for it until he saw me buy D cup bras. Now he's decided I have enough up top. He doesn't understand that I want them up where they used to be and not so saggy. LOL

    Nausea

Are you getting stuck or just sick to your stomach? If your just sick to your stomach you should go back to your surgeon. It could be that you have reflux. Reflux can cause nausea but won't always cause burning.
  8. LOL! I know what you mean. I bought some size 8 shorts last week. I wanted to take a pic of the size tag and of me wearing them and post them on my Facebook page. I was so excited!
  9. Okay ladies I'm back from the mall. It turns out I'm a 34 D. They fit perfectly now:) While I was there dh bought me some more new clothes also. I didn't need them but he thought I should have them. I got some shirts at Aeropostale. Before my band I was too big to wear stuff from there:) It was all on sale too!
  10. I got a really good deal on 3 cans of it. 2 chocolate and 1 vanilla. They have 15 grams of Protein and 5 grams of Fiber per serving. I thought maybe with the fiber in it it would keep me full longer. Well I haven't tried the vanilla yet but I have opened the chocolate. It's not good. It's very bland and doesn't really taste like chocolate. I have to add coffee to it or cocoa powder and splenda just so I can drink it. Then when you get to the bottom the last few drinks are super, super gritty, like your drinking sand. I'm assuming that's the fiber in it and it just settles to the bottom rather than mixing into it. This is something I definitely will not buy again. Just thought I'd post my review in case any of you are interested:)
  11. You're talking about the plain Designer Whey though right? The Weight Control has 8 grams of carbs.
  12. Well I just measured my chest and it's a 32. My bras are 36 and 38. Maybe I should start with a smaller band size. LOL When do bra sizes get so complicated?
  13. Me! I peeled mine off after 5 days and started using Benadryl cream around the edges. My surgeon said that was fine.

    so difficult to loose weight

I agree also. You HAVE to write down everything you eat. It keeps you aware of what and how much your actually eating. Also drink water only. 8-10 glasses a day.
  15. The inches are amazing aren't they? My waist is still getting smaller even though my scale hasn't moved.
  16. I see a lot of WLS cookbooks but the ones I've seen are for gastric bypass. The recipes are usually something that would be too dry for me to eat. Are there any that are just for banders?
  17. I have no idea. LOL I'm just wondering why people do it and what does it really for you. According to the website it says it will make your pouch tighter, but I can't understand how it would.
  18. My last fill was sometime in May I think. Anyway it was so tight I had to have an unfill and I went 2 weeks on just liquids. After those 2 weeks I was good. I could eat small amounts and wasn't hungry. Now suddenly for the past week I'm starving and I can't seem to stay below my daily calorie count. After being in so much pain from the overfill I said I would not get another fill any time soon so how else do I handle the hunger? I can also eat bigger portions than what I was eating. I'm drinking 8-10 glasses of Water a day and I try to focus my meals on solid Protein like steak, roast etc. because they keep me full for longer. I would like to do my best to manage this without a fill b/c I'm scared of getting overfilled again and because I now weigh 161 and my surgeon doesn't want me getting below 160 so I don't think he'd even do another fill. My personal goal though and the goal my PCP set for me is 145- That will bring me to a normal BMI. Advice? How often should you be doing fills? Oh and in the middle of starving for the past week last Friday I suddenly got tight for several hours and couldn't eat, but then it went away and I was fine again. What's going on?

    I'm starving again:(

Thanks! I'm down 12 pounds since my last fill. My PCP has set a lower goal weight for me because I have arthritis in my knees. The theory is less weight=less knee pain, I hope anyway:)

    Pain pump

Not for my band. I didn't even need pain meds for my band. I had one with my hysterectomy though.
  22. For a multi Vitamin I think I'm going to go with Celebrate. Nutritionally it seems to be the most complete. Currently all I take is Vitafusion gummy Vitamins. Do I need anything else? Like Vitamin D or B?
