I can't believe they didn't check it out further to make sure your port wasn't flipped. That's crazy.

I currently have a bladder infection and last night I got sick to my stomach and threw up. Since then I throw up everything I drink except warm stuff. I'm assuming I'm swollen. My PCP says some of the vomiting is due to my bladder infection. She said to just skip my Protein drinks for today and keep sipping warm liquids. She also gave me Phenergan and Cipro to take. Is this the plan you would follow? Just skip the protein? She said I'll feel better once I get a couple days of the antibiotic down.

Okay I'm feeling much better this morning:) I am sore though from yesterday. My chest is a little sore and when I burp it sort of hurts my band for a second. Almost like as it comes up through my band it hurts for a sec and then it's gone. Normal soreness I'm assuming? I'm taking liquid Advil to see if that will help with it. My meds and liquids are going down fine though.

I know this is going to sound so dumb but in a way I'm nervous and I want dh to go with me but then again he's never really looked to closely at my post weight loss body and I don't want him to now either. He knows my stomach is saggy, but he doesn't know that my upper thighs are and I don't really want him to know, I don't know why but I just don't want him seeing it. He knows I need a tummy tuck and he's on board with it but I'm also considering getting my thighs lifted and he doesn't know anything about that. I guess I'm just feeling insecure about my looks. Do I take him or not?

Oh and no reflux or heartburn.

My surgeon doesn't use flouro. My last fill was 9 days ago. Since then I've been able to eat small amounts of soft foods- which is normal for me post fill. Yesterday I had my shakes just fine and soup. When I threw up last night I had that nauseas feeling like you get with a stomach virus.

I haven't even taken them yet. I won't get better until I take them but at the same time I'm not sure they will go down at this point.

I agree with Rachel. My swelling can get bad for the first two weeks.

I can't. My Prozac capsule is the biggest thing I can handle and it's not all that big. I have a bladder infection though and I have to go to the doc. What antibiotics do they use when you can't swallow stuff? liquid? I usually take Cipro but I can't see that going down right now:/

I had either 4 or 5 I can't remember. I've had other abdominal surgeries so I have several small scars everywhere on my stomach.

This is so true. Extended release meds cannot be crushed or split they must go down whole.

So this is something I need to specifically ask the surgeon about then? I'm starting to make a list of questions. I won't be able to do it until May but I'm getting ready to do consults now to see about the financial aspect and recovery times.

I take Celebrate Multi AGB twice daily and then once daily I take Celebrate Vitamin D and B-12. That's it.

I've never noticed the links in your siggy before today. Today I actually read them and WOW! I wished I would have read those much sooner. Thanks for sharing:) Especially the one to the Dr. Simpson website. Very informative!

Untreated hypothyroidism can definitely cause weight gain. I gained 40 pounds in 6 months from mine being out of control. You need to make sure your surgeon sees your lab results. I'm assuming they started you on thyroid meds right? Take them daily. It may take a while but after a few weeks you should start seeing a difference. If your surgeon continues to act like an @ss then you should try and find another one. Your surgeon shouldn't be demeaning you like that.

It could be a virus or just some indigestion. I occasionally get indigestion now from the oddest foods. If it persists call your doctor.

First off, I tried the Jillian Michaels Protein powder from Wal- Mart. It tastes really good but my surgeon says the protein powders at Wal- Mart aren't high quality and he says not to use them. What do you think about that? I mean what makes one Protein Powder better than another? Second, I got my Jay Robb protein powder samples. I'm in love. So far I've had the orange dreamsicle and the chocolate. The chocolate could be a bit stronger- it doesn't have enough chocolate flavor to me, but these are otherwise AWESOME! No off smell or taste. They don't tast like a Protein Drink at all. I make mine with calorie countdown milk and they just taste like really good flavored Milk. Once I try the other flavors I'm going to buy a full size bag. Ps if you google jay Robb it will take you to the website. You can buy sample packs there of every flavor. They have vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, orange dreamsice and piña colada.

Oh I meant to say the comments I received were from banded people that either had to pay cash for their band or are not getting the results I am.

I've encountered a few people who didn't think it was FAIR for me to be banded because I wasn't what they considered overweight. Oh well! My insurance paid for it so obviously I was big enough.
