    UNFILL HELLLLPPPPP!!!!

I also had 3 put in at surgery. Even though they say your band is empty at surgery it does normally have 1-3 cc's in it. They do that to prime it. You could just be swollen. Do just liquids for a couple of days and then try mushies again.
  2. I like to go to sit down restaurants. I usually get either a steak or fish, plain baked potato and steamed veggies. If I do fast food I get a salad with grilled chicken. Sometimes we go to Taco Bueno and I'll get a soft chicken taco with a side of Beans.
  3. My scale isn't moving either. I have to kick myself into gear and start exercising again. I know I can get these last 19 pounds off, I just need to get myself focused again.
  4. I was banded on 8-6-10. Since then I've lost 73 pounds. I only have 19 more to go.
  5. I have 4-5 days a month where I am just starving. I eat and it's like there's no band there at all. I can eat anything I want and I'm starving again 30 minutes later. What do you do to get you through those types of days?
  6. I swear ladies, yesterday I felt like I could chew my arm off I was so hungry. I hat those days.

    Finally something that taste goog

Well I'm always like that for 7-10 days after a fill. My surgeon says it's swelling. It always goes away on it's on and I'm able to eat again.
  8. I absolutely LOVE this stuff! We have a local ice cream shop here that carries it. I always get chocolate but last week I saw they have Peanut Butter. Next time I may try that instead.

    Lap Band not installed!

I can agree with this also. You may be better off to see another doctor who has more experience in the Lap Band. Some surgeons do ONLY weight loss surgery and then some surgeons, like yours, do weight loss surgery part time but mostly do other types of surgeries.
  10. Congrats girl! FYI I swear 99.9% of jeans now have stretch in them. When you buy those type be careful. Most times if they fit comfortably when goiter them on then 2 hours after wearing them they will be big and baggy from the stretch factor. If you buy em tight then they are usually perfect after a couple of hours.
  11. All my banded friends have used this one surgeon that is 45 miles from me. I didn't use him because he wasn't in my insurance network. My surgeon does not do fills under flouro and he only sees patients on Monday and Tuesday. Even when I was really tight and needed an unfill I had to wait till the following Monday. In his opinion your NEVER too tight unless you can't swallow your own saliva. If I have an issue I get put through to a nurse who most of the time can't help me. Off topic a bit, but the last time I was there he took a call from the nurse at the hospital where I could hear him. He had done a totally different surgery on a patient and the nurse was having issues, he told her he was sorry, but he was not coming back over that day, she would have to wait until the next morning. I was like Now the surgeon my friends use, he will see them any day of the week for an unfill. They have his personal cell phone number to call in case of a problem- and yes, he actually answers it. He is also certified as a Bariatric surgeon of excellence, while mine is not. Is my surgeon really that bad or is he the norm? How does your surgeon treat you?
  12. Sorry, yeah ours is an FSA. I'm going to call them today and see what they say about vitamins. It can't hurt to ask right?
  13. Have you had any luck with getting them to pay for any of your Vitamins, Protein powders or gym memberships? I know mine says in certain circumstances they cover those things and we have a LOT to use up before December 31 otherwise we will lose it. So I thought, Hmm I wonder if they would really cover any of that. Anybody have experience with this?
  14. I know what you mean:) My 4 year old dd waits till I'm naked and then tries to open the dressing room door
  15. I'm thinking a 16 for pants but maybe a 2X for tops since you have a lot of boobage:)
  16. The average is $5500 depending on what you want. A mini tuck is only $4500 but they don't take off as much skin that way.
  17. Standard way here with nothing to numb the skin. IMO it really doesn't hurt so it's no big deal.
  18. Yes it is so simple and it works perfectly. I LOVE mine!
  19. I posted this several months ago but I wanted to repost it just in case. I was looking for a belt to wear since my pants were getting a little too big and I found this: http://www.invisibelt.com/TheBelt.aspx?utm_source=google&utm_medium=ppc It's adjustable so it will fit for a long time and looks perfectly smooth under your clothing. The only down side I found is it smells funny for a while but eventually the smell goes away.
  20. When they do the tummy tuck does it also raise or flatten the skin in your pubic area?

    Lap Band way too Tight

Do you keep trying to eat even though it's not going down good? If so you may have caused swelling which will make it ten times worse. Try nothing but liquids for a few days and then try mushy foods and see how it goes.
  23. Monica I have that problem every time I get a fill now. It takes me 7-10 days before all my swelling subsides and I can eat normally again. I'm almost at my goal weight. I won't make it by my 1 year band anniversary but I will make it:) I have an appt in a few weeks for a tummy tuck consult. I'm scared, nervous and excited all at the same time.
  24. I have contacted the doctor that all my friends are using, I'm just waiting to hear back. According to my insurance he is still in network with them so we will see.
