Almost 4 weeks since surgery...Can I have a freakin drink??
Mrs Beasley replied to Tiggerangel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Personally for me, with drinking comes eating. Drinking gives me the munchies, so if you are like me DONT do it. Because after you drink you just don't care and you start eating that is where the problem would begin for me. -
When will I feel decent again?
Mrs Beasley replied to lamar44's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You sound just like me...I was banded 12/7. The smell of meat or some food actually made me sick for 3 to 4 weeks. My should was in agony. I used to do laps aorund my island in my kitchen to get relief because I belive they are gas pains. I was out of work for 3 weeks, probably could of gone back after 2 weeks. But I am glad I did not beause I was actually on pain meds for almost 2 weeks so I was not really clear. The brighter side of this is I am just under 2 months out. I feel incredible from the excercise and weight loss. When I was feeling like you I thought it would never end and it did. Just be patient. Definitely get your rest when you go back to work, try and go to bed early. Get enough sleep, you did just have surgery. Dont get frustrated, when I felt like you did I posted a message and some kind person told me what I am telling you and it totally kept me going. GOOD LUCK!!! -

Just wanted to say Hi
Mrs Beasley replied to Bluebell's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hello Bluebell, Hope your doing well on your first week or two. Good luck!!:smile2: -
Hello Everyone. I have read so many posts about people with no restrictions. Is there anyone out there that has had good restriction from the beginning and can share their success storys? I would really like to hear about that. I am starting to get nervous when I read all these posts about not having restriction for 3,4,5,6,7 fills and then having to take some Fluid out and still not feeling satisfied. Or correct me, is that a normal situation for most? Thanks for sharing

I was banded 12/7 and my first fill is 1/27. I know its hard stick it out. My problem is I was lost a bunch of weight in the few weeks :unsure:now it has completely slowed down, that is what is so frustrating to me. I am not even overeating. I am sticking to the programs. I do need to work harder on my exercising but foodwise I think I am on target. Any suggestions? -
Hello, I am in my 4th week after surgery and my incision where my port is located is still pretty uncomfortable. How long did everyone experience pain from the incisions?

Foods are just not appealing to me, anyone else?
Mrs Beasley replied to Mrs Beasley's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have continued shakes for breakfast because of choice and time, they take less time for me to consume that eggs, etc. Thanks again for your advice you are an inspiration, congrats on your weight loss. I like this website but I get nervous when I read that people are having troubles and not losing weight, etc. I do know everyone is different. I need to take this one day at a time, it is very new for me. -

Mrs Beasley posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am going into my 5th week and I have gone thorugh many different stages in this. But I am on a diet at this point where I can have fish, pork, chicken etc as long as it is moist and cut up very small. NOTHING tastes good to me at all. I used to enjoy all of those foods and its just not the taste I enjoyed before. Is anyone experiencing this same problem? I know it is probably a good thing because it makes me stay within my portion but the foods are just not tasting good to me. -

Thank you both for your input. I see so many messages about people starving so I was starting to think something was wrong with me. Have either of you had fills? And can you tell me more about this slime? I have not experienced this before. Thanks Again -

getting nervous...(Atl)
Mrs Beasley replied to simplycharming's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I was banded 4 weeks ago and the first two weeks after I had not much of an appetite at all. I was really scared too but don't be scared, you will be fine. Personally, I scared myself because I did not completely understand how everything was going to work even though I read all kinds of literature about it. The steps have been much easier than I ever imagined them to be. Hang in there, try and get a goods night sleep before you surgery -

Mrs Beasley replied to baferg01's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, Thanks all I am feeling normal myself now. This is so helpful. -
I am in the same boat as you, I had my sugery in the beginning of December and my first fill is not until the 27th. I am waiting for my first fill and am very hungry at night. From what I am reading that should change after the first fill. Just try really hard to stick with the diet they gave you. Don't give into it. If you can hold out until the 11th I thing this will change for you.
