    Thristy and looking for suggestions.

Maybe you should talk to your doctor. I'm sure you're been tested for diabetes, but go make sure it's not that. And if you already have diabetes, that might explain your symptoms.

    Strange question...

Getting stuck isn't fun. It hurts soooooo bad. You have no idea. Sometimes it'll come up. I had orange juice shoot out of my nose a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't eat right 3 days after it. I really can't stand when people refer to a productive burp as vomit. It's not vomit. Vomiting requires you're whole abdominal muscles to move the food upward. Vomiting is violent. Whenever someone knows I have a lap band they'll say "don't you vomit, get sick, throw up, feel bad, etc." It's not vomit, and if it is you better get your butt to the doctor because that's serious.
  3. OMG OMG OMG OMG YOU ATE A COOKIE! YOU WILL DIIIIIIE. Seriously? A cookie. Ok.
  4. Exactly. That is why telling someone else to just go diet and exercise is stupid when it hasn't worked for them. That is why so many people get bariatric surgery: because diet and exercise wasn't enough! So, I find it humorous for someone with the Lap Band to tell someone to "JUST" exercise and diet. Hahahahahaha...

    Jenny Craig

I'm not quite sure why people get weight loss surgery and go on programs like Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers. Here's a good read: Eating for Life by Bill Phillips. It's not about the lap band or going on any program. It's about eating right.

    stall?

Throw away the scale. It will only mess with your mind, drive you crazy, and make you feel bad about yourself.

    prevention and treatment for rash

Sometimes I use clotrimazole cream aka Lotrimin.
  8. How about you give diet and exercise a try? If you have, try harder. How does that make you feel? Point proven.
  9. Btrieger, I'm going to have to disagree with you. I'm 22 and I weighted 327 before getting banded. I could and still have the possibility of having a stroke and/or a heart attack. I could be borderline diabetic. There is no way for me to lose 172 pounds by myself. I've been dieting most of my life. Heck, I remember making my mom buy me Slim Fast at 12. I would take it to school everyday, but I would put into a different container. So, yeah, this is best thing for me. I've been doing this all without my parents help or support. ALSO, why not start now to lose weight? Why does one have to weight until their 18?

    Hiccups

I get hiccups and I burp a lot more now that I'm banded. It's not just while eating or after eating. However, I don't recommend gagging yourself though...
  11. It usually loosens over time.
  12. I had my surgery April 7th, and apparently I restarted my period. I had my period a week before I had surgery, it was pretty normal, but now I'm restarting it. I'm confused. Anyone else have this problem?

    Anthem BCBS

You won't have too much trouble with them. They are easy to work with.
  14. I've been banded for 2 months. I've had 3 fills and I feel as though that I have hit restriction. I've lost 45 pounds so far.
  15. It was alright. I added a half scoop of vanilla protein powder (I probably shouldn't have done it because it almost killed it for me), 1/4 cup of Bear Naked Peak Protein Granola, and 1/3 cup of Ocean Spray dried blueberries. I didn't eat it all. I think I've hit my green zone and I got full pretty quickly. Next time I'll try it without my protein powder. I really hate protein powder and shakes though.
  16. I bought some today. 40 cents!!! It's on sale for 10 for $4. I'll try some out tomorrow for breakfast. This is a great deal if it tastes really good!

    sushi!?

I have no problem with it.
  18. Thanks for sharing that! I'll have to check it out. Also, the tip of putting protein powder in the yogurt is another good idea.
  19. I don't think if anyone read her correctly, but she is 11 UNTIL surgery. She hasn't been banded yet. Jenna, are you on Optifast? That's what I was on. They told me to do 5 shakes a day, but I hardly made it there...actually I don't even remember going up to 5. You aren't supposed to mix the shakes with milk - Water only. That could be your problem. Also, drink lots and lots of water. That will help with the hungery pains.
  20. It depends on what you eat, how you eat, and exercise.

    Bodybugg users report here!

For those who are having problems, they do offer phone coaches. Maybe you need to make an appointment to call one? Or maybe tech support? Mine is working great.
  22. This is totally normal. Your weight changes during the day. It's because you eat, drink, pee, poop, etc. The best thing to do is weigh yourself at the same time everyday with about the same clothes or no clothes at all.

I think mine is pretty accurate. I'm a certified nursing assistant, and I do end up burning almost my daily goal during an 8 hour shift. But it depends on the assignment - some assignments are easier than others. On days that I'm off, I can't even get close to my target calories burned.
  24. You will always have a food problem. It is not the band's fault. It is your mind. The band doesn't change how your mind works - only you. Head hunger is not the fault of the band either - it's your and your mind. The band is only a tool and not magic. You need to reevaluate your thinking.
  25. Honestly, there are a lot of people that not doing research. They are expecting too much. There are many people that are posioning this board with their insane expectations. Then they come on here complaining that they don't lose weight or they want to reach their sweet spot with their first fill. Frankly, I think these types of people should have just gone with the gastric bypass since they seem to want to lose 60% of their weight in 6 months.
