    Newby... Right here!

But seriously, you'll make it, it's not fun, but you'll make it! The first couple days are the hardest, I think by the end of the second week you're just kinda numb. AND you can come here and grumble about the headache and fatigue and starvation....no one understands like we do!!! Mom kept doing things for me and I kept trying to stop her you won't be doing laundry and vacuuming but you should e able to get a drink, use the bathroom....all the necessities. Jut don't get goofy and overdo it!!! HW 312, pre-op (lap-band) 294, pre-op (RNY) 255, surgery date 2/11/13, goal weight 154, current weight 238

    Optifast

I did not have to do optifast, I just had to do 5 Protein shakes a day plus sugar-free/fat-free liquids....IT SUCKED!!!!!! The first 4 or 5 days was the worst. By the second week I was pretty much just numb from the horror of it all . That headache....OMG...nothing compared to the headache . I drank (most) of my shakes and sipped on flavored Water and had a ton of sugar free Jello and was exhausted and miserable. And here I sit, 8 days post op. eating an ounce for a meal and haven't been hungry since I woke up post-op. back to work tomorrow!!!! It really does suck, there's just no easy way around it, (I cheated on celery and lean turkey lunch meat the first week a couple times). I can't think of a single way to make it easier, you just have to get through it to get to your goal. (It's kinda like 2 weeks of labor but you don't get an epidural.......you think you're gonna die while you're in it but in the end it is so worth it!). Fabulous February Post-Op's

I may have just had an epiphany!!!! I started getting queasy a bit ago and realized I hadn't eaten since lunch....small snack and queasy gone! Perhaps my 8 day post-op tummy is misreading hunger pains as nausea??? HW 312, pre-op (lap-band) 294, pre-op (RNY) 255, surgery date 2/11/13, goal weight 154, current weight 238

    Fabulous February Post-Op's

I'm way different than almost everyone here on the egg issue. Scrambled eggs are the dry last food my doc allows, you can start 'normal' foods at 2 months but he says no scrambled eggs til 3 months... Sounds silly but he's had a bunch of people get stuck on em! However it does appear that most fold around here start em pretty early with no issue! What's your serving size supposed to be? Optifast

Suck it up and move on! Beating yourself up only makes you feel worse and want to 'cheat' more. You're doing great and it does suck!!!! At least you didn't cheat with a Big Mac!!!!!! HW 312, pre-op (lap-band) 294, pre-op (RNY) 255, surgery date 2/11/13, goal weight 154, current weight 238
