    Terrified of Dumping

Doesn't have to be sugary....my first (and worst) dump was a couple weeks post-op on 4 oz of cream of wheat with Splenda (an approved food at the time), I've also dumped on protein bars with 18 g of carbs....I'm one of the sensitive kids with the tiny amounts you're eating unless you're eating pure carbs you should be fine.

Agreed, go make your own funny sarcastic picking on the world thread where you amuse yourself, but I actually DO use this thread for dinner ideas....or at least I used to....

    Post Op Weight loss?

I lost about 7 pounds total those first 2 weeks post-op, I'd lost 14 the 2 weeks pre-op....the lower loss was frustrating at first while people around me were losing 12 a week....but I've come to learn that's just how I work....3 a week is about my average, since its an easy 3 and I'm not starving, I'll take it and consider it a success . I tried to a skip the scales and stick to once or twice a week weigh ins so I didn't go Insane with the readings!!! Make yourself proud!!! HW 312, pre-op (lap-band) 294, pre-op (RNY) 255, surgery date 2/11/13, goal weight 154, current weight 221.6

    April 2013 Post-Op Group

Keep in mind a pound is 3500 calories...a lot of times when you're post op your metabolism slows down so you're not burning as many calories as usual and most people aren't as active as they were pre-op at least for a bit so you're not burning as many....12 IS a lot!! N HW 312, pre-op (lap-band) 294, pre-op (RNY) 255, surgery date 2/11/13, goal weight 154, current weight 223

    What ya eating tonight?

WATERMELON!!!!! Wait, that was dessert....went out to dinner with my kiddo, order the grilled chicken sandwich without a bun and broccoli instead of fries.....ate about 2 oz of chicken and 4-5 small broccoli florets....actually enjoyed the broccoli more than the chicken....and the watermelon most HW 312, pre-op (lap-band) 294, pre-op (RNY) 255, surgery date 2/11/13, goal weight 154, current weight 223

    What ya eating tonight?

Went on a hike and picnic with my boy so packed us both turkey sandwiches....1 slice of bread, 2 oz of turkey (yes I'm allowed bread) made it through about 1/2 of my 1/2 of a sandwich and was so totally done with it....I can eat 3-4 ounces of meat but 1/4 of a turkey sandwich. Yup, still much to learn about this new toy of mine!!! HW 312, pre-op (lap-band) 294, pre-op (RNY) 255, surgery date 2/11/13, goal weight 154, current weight 223

    Lap band scar tissue?

You'll be fine, I had a slipped band and tons of inflammation, was a bit of a special case. If I'd just been a regular revision it would all been fine but I had the added drama of a prolapse stomach and urgent surgery . I can never do things the way way! Try not to stress too much!!!!
