  1. Lol, you're the only other person I've seen confess to the 'oh my God what if I die' freak out . Makes me feel better that I'm not the only crazy one out here!!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 204.6

  3. My friend, you're about to undergo a life altering surgery...you're on an emotional roller coaster . Mostly, you're just normal! My crying breakdown was 2 days pre-op when I started imagining what would happen to my son if I died (single mom, dead ex)...drama much? No more breaking diet rules though! You're too close to blow it now! Keep your chin up and keep on rolling, you'll be home and on the road to a healthy you in no time (FYI I was pretty much an emotional mess for 6 weeks post-op, cried easily, sad for no reason, it's the weight loss hormones and anesthesia, and stress, and major life change, etc...at about 6 weeks the fog lifted and I was me again) HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 204.6

    Nauseated

I randomly got nauseated frequently for the first 8-10 weeks. Also for that same time period if I need to poo or was about to poo i would be queasy for HOURS. It was highly weird that my gotta have a BMnsignal was feeling like I was going to puke. Thank goodness that resolved. I do get random nausea once in a while now but it's more like once a week instead of daily. Feel well soon!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 204.6

    Fabulous February Post-Op's

I have super thick hair, the thickest my hair dresser has seen in 20 years, yay me! About 3 months after my band, the shedding started, freakishly worse at my temples, it grew back, but one temple stayed thinner....around May (so 3 months post RNY) it started back up I can tell it's thinner, but it's still thick. My hairdresser even commented today on how much I'd lost since she did it last 6 weeks ago. Not worried unless I start getting bald patches . I do hate finding hair all over all the time though!!!!! gastric bypass or gastric sleeve?!

Your BMI puts you well into the obese range and a candidate for RNY. I find it off he says you're not that big when you truly are big enough to qualify for RNY. I would want he pros and cons from him of each surgery and why specifically he is leaning towards sleeve. I get the impression some surgeons are new with the sleeve and just like doing it so they try to guide everyone that direction. If he can give you good solid facts and numbers as to why go sleeve then is be willing to consider it but just not that big I don't see as a legitimate answer. (I was a failed band, after the suckage of band life I wasn't having anything other then the RNY, too much data to back it, too many success stories). Good luck!!!!

    raw veggies

I started cucumbers at 7 or 8 weeks. Raw carrots fill me up FAST and stick with me a while, I guess it's because they're so solid. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 205

    Birthcontrol

Yup, just hang around and read. We current have multiple members currently pregnant who had been trying unsuccessfully for years to get pregnant and post-op found themselves pregnant within just a few months (or in 1 case, 2 weeks) of getting their RNY done....while so far they all seem to be doing well it is safer for both mom and baby to wait a year or two.
