    Do your best to support him but celebrate and enjoy the new found you! It's not your fault he can't do the things you want. Don't nag, don't harass, but i'd have a long talk with him about living life to the fullest while you can. I would try to do activities he can enjoy as well so he doesn't feel abandoned but I'd keep rolling and enjoying the real you! Good luck!!!!!

    Liquid Diet Help!

    I agree with call your doc. My liquid diet was 4-5 shakes a day (bleh) plus clear, calorie free liquids ( water, SF jello, crystal light, broth) when I wanted them. BUT every surgeon is different.

    McDonald's has the best sweet tea ever!!!!!! My co-workers get it ALL the time!!!! I want to dump it on their heads. One of my skinniest co-workers drinks 2 large sweet teas a day..... 54 grams of sugar....I'd be dumping til my eyeballs popped out of my head. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 204.6

    And I'll add, if I had diabetes I'd absolutely pick the RNY, no doubt. The improvement in glucose control and often complete remission of diabetes is ASTOUNDING with RNY. I suggest not relying on dumping though, many many of our members (if not most) have no dumping or minimal dumping that really doesn't significantly impact their day to day dietary intake. It's not reliable or consistent a did hate for you to pick a surgery expecting it and be one of the many that don't experience it. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 204.6

    TMI - Constipation

    I have a 3 hour Cub Scout meeting this afternoon with a bunch of men. It's 1 moderate sized room, as an after thought a bathroom was added against the back wall right in the middle of the room. It's essentially plywood. I can hear the guys GRAPHICALLY when they pee. I figure 30 minutes into the meeting (which I am running, of course) it'll hit me and I'll be trapped in the plywood cubby hole trying to not make ridiculous noises... I used to poo like 3 times a day!!!! I guess when you're eating 10x more then you should its gonna come out one way or another. (I'll take the constipation to being 300+ pounds any day!!!).     I swear, if I don't poop today I'm breaking out the hose....this is insane!!!! My stomach sounds ridiculous and I'm passing gas (foul, nasty, gross gas) like a frat boy....but no real action in days!!!! (Despite my daily stool softener and added MOM for a push).     FYI you can also stretch out our stomach after gastric sleeve... I had a lap-band that sucked, I was a pretty good lapband patient but stress, allergies, colds, etc made me miserable and I couldn't eat, would live off of hot tea with honey for days at a time. Eventually my band prolapsed, herniating my stomach and I had urgent surgery to remove the mess. One of my most hellish issues with the band was reflux, at times I'd wake up at night with stomach acid coming out my nose. Even on meds it was miserable. I was not going to have another surgery that might cause reflux. It was HORRIBLE!!!! I have 2 friends that were sleeved 2 years ago and have both had minimal weight loss, I know exactly 2 people with sleeve and neither has been successful (mostly their fault but still, not liking those odds). And finally, though I have no intention of reversing my RNY ever, I guess I like knowing that there is always that option if something catastrophic happens to me....with the sleeve, they cut off your excess stomach and its simply gone, no back-up plan. Though I'll admit if my friends had been successful with their sleeves I wouldn't have let this be my sole reason for not getting a sleeve. For me, ultimately, I was just more comfortable with the RNY overall. I've watched many people succeed with it, and a few fail, but I felt like it was the right match for me and my causes for being obese. So far so good! Good luck with your decision!!!     I do the dannon light and fit Greek 2x protein...pineapples my fav though our wal-mart just started carrying the blended favors so i have a couple in the fridge I haven't tried yet. 80 calories, 12 grams of protein. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 204.6

    The Greek yogurt has grown on me, hated it 3 years ago, now find regular yogurt too sweet. I got soooo sick of sweet stuff too, i lived off puréed bean soup and ricotta cheese bake thing when I was trapped n purée hell . HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 204.6
