Possible stricture

How scary! Fingers crossed it's an easy fix. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6 -
5 days post-op from band to rny
SoccerMomma73 replied to Kcarr1120's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
You won't know when you're full for a while....measure measure measure! Do NOT trust your stomach or brain to give you a full signal at this point. Also, be careful, you've had a lot done in that tummy, give her time to heal. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6 -

Unsolicited medical advice (remember, you get what you pay for) yes, pitting edema is when you push and the indentation stays. Fairly common in legs (gravity is evil) not so common above the waist. It definitely needs further investigation ASAP. If you're noticing significant SOB or chest pain I'd recommend ER. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6 -
How about some NSVs!?!?
SoccerMomma73 replied to shyanne's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Laying on my side on the couch watching a movie, my 9 year old snuggles up with his head on my hip and says 'Ahhhhh, you're so snugly and comfy....except for that big hard bone poking out of your hip right here. Where did this come from? It didn't used to be here!' HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6 -
My 40thbirthday was 6 weeks after surgery. While it broke every rule and I don't encourage it. I did it and didn't die. I've had maybe 4 drinks in the 6 months since surgery, don't think I actually finished any of them. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6

Does it feel the same?
SoccerMomma73 replied to LeanerLena5426's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Mine would only have been bigger because of the slip and prolapse. If I'd had a normally placed and functioning band it would not have been an issue. Done in 2 steps I had an amazingly easy recovery from both surgeries and no complications at all. Trust my surgeons judgement after all this!!! -
Mostly I don't even think about it now. And u do still fear passion gas at times. I've yet to have a wet one but it sure feels like it's gonna be!!! Totally worth having the grumblies 24/7 though!

Question about complications
SoccerMomma73 replied to rocknrollmama1980's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
There's not really a way to predict who will or won't get ulcers. NSAIDS and tobacco increase your risk (as they do in people with normal stomachs) but I'm sure you've seen people on here who do neither and got ulcers. The VAST majority of us will not get an ulcer, but just as there is with people who have not had bariatric surgery, there's always a chance! Best of luck with your decision!!! I do it all the time, rumblies in my tumblies. Doesn't seem to matter what foods or Vitamins. I just have a funky gut (I'm 6 months out) its not really painful, just the pressure you get pre-diarrhea, but never get the diarrhea. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6

I'm a single mom with A 9 year old son, I go on strike too if he gets unappreciative. I work full time to support use, have to take care of the house and yard, have him in soccer and cub scouts, and serve as both his mom and dad. We are BUSY! There's no reason for him To disrespect or be unappreciative. It never lasts long but at various times he's gotten stupid and had to do his own laundry (he usually helps me so he knows how to do it) or his own meals. It's actually pretty funny! I'm also told often that I have the kindest and most thoughtful young man ever so something is working (when he helps with dinner he says its great he's learning how to cook so when he's married and his wife comes home tired from work he can take care if her and their kids). I do not miss 'raising' an unappreciative jerk husband! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6

Low blood pressure
SoccerMomma73 replied to TinyMamiOf3kids's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
More likely dehydration causing the low blood pressure. Be careful! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6 -
Please find out exactly what 'physician fees' includes. You will be responsible for your co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles. Many doctors charge a small program fee but $2000 would be ridiculous. If the $2000 is your estimated total out of pocket cost that might be acceptable (mine was around $1100), if the items I mentioned above aren't included I would look for a second opinion!!! Good luck!!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6

How much Calories are enough?
SoccerMomma73 replied to Liliana070813's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
