    Steps and beds

This varies so much from person to person. I could have climbed stairs and I'd have done ANYTHING to be in my own bed but I see a lot of people on here that sleep in their recliners post-op....I wanted my bed, my pillows, my everything. I hated sleeping (or trying to) in that hospital bed and would have done anything shy of murder to get back in my own!!! You'll probably be okay but you might want a pillow and blanket downstairs just in case you're having a rough time. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198

    Help !

There's really nothing you can do but put on the big girl panties and keep rolling with it. You've just got to push through. It TOTALLY sucks, usually the second week is less hellish than the first, but as miserable as it is, know it's all for an amazing cause!!! It's worth it!!!! Just keep on, keeping on, try not to bite anyone's head off and it'll be here before ya know it!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198

Lab Band Removal - Hospital Stay Duration???

I went home same day as my removal. I had a slip with just early erosion though so you may have a completely different experience. I will say that as soon as I woke up from surgery all the discomfort I'd had with my band was totally gone. It was like magic good luck!!!

    Losing SO slow

It is exactly what you said. It's 43 pounds and it's freaking amazing. You've lost a 5 year old in 2 months.

    honey?

Really it's very individual. My doc says no sugar, honey, etc but I had hot tea with a little honey when I was sick this summer and had no problem (and I'm a dumper). Now if I'd dumped half a cup of honey in the tea I'd have been sick as a dog. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198

    NEED SOME ADVICE

I could have done it. I would have been exhausted and slept on the way down and back but I could have done it. Honestly. Until you're at that point. I don't think you can predict how you'll be feeling and if you're physically capable if going or not. Perhaps you'll wake up that morning feeling great and want to try, but I don't think you can commit to going at this point :/ sorry this is so tough, hope you find peace with your decision. Fresh fruit

If it's okay with your doc then go for it. Watch bananas though. Pretty high sugar content, I dump off them if I'm not careful. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198

    Specific meal plans?

So at three months my only food restrictions were to avoid high fat foods or foods high in simple carbs and avoid processed foods. I am supposed to eat 4 meals a day, 20 grams of Protein per meal. And 15-20 grams of carbs per meal. 800-1000 calories per day. My docs break down is 3 oz meat plus a veg, fruit, or grain for each meal. So, that what I'm SUPPOSED to do hope it helps. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198

Someone please help me i wanna cry :(

It's like REAL food when you're on purée. My son (8 at the time) would steal it when I made it. eventually I started makin the ricotta bake for me and boiling spaghetti noodles for him to eat with it, made everyone happy.
