    Surgery in the morning

Pain is tolerable and temporary. I really didn't think it was too bad. The joy I get out of life now is priceless and well worth any pain I may have had. And no, you're not going to sleep way too much happening in that head! Good luck!!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198

    Cravings busters?

I did a lot of wraps early on (mission carb smart tortillas, not bad and lots of fiber) scrambled eggs with cheese and salsa, refrained Beans with cheese and salsa, laughing cow cheese and sliced turkey rolled up in the tortilla and dipped in salsa. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198

    Wanna see what was removed?

So, TMI, but can you wear normal panties and not have your gut hanging out the leg holes???? I mean, really, I don't care so much if it's totally flat, I'm tired of having to stuff it in my clothes to keep it from flapping in the wind :/ HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198

    Cravings busters?

FYI leftover chicken is pretty evil...it's tough for a lot of us to handle. Even if I don't reheat it, it gives me a little trouble if it's not freshly cooked and I can eat darn near anything. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198

    Tummy troubles :(

Also gallbladder sometimes radiates to your back...though typically the pain is more off center to the right. Good luck!!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198

    Cravings busters?

What are you allowed to eat? Are you supposed to be on mushies? I found baked ricotta to be the closest 'real food' item I could find. The recipe is floating around but it's ricotta, egg, mozzarella, and marinara baked til bubbly. I've found some baked oatmeal recipes (some with eggs, some with Protein powder) that have pumpkin and spices that are pretty yummy if you can tolerate oatmeal. Mushies drug on forever for me. By the end I was practically back on liquids I was so bored and frustrated with it. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198

  9. Slow...soccermomma is slow but doing great (58 pounds in 7 months). However, it keeps slowly slipping off and I FEEL FABULOUS so I'll take it. As I confessed elsewhere earlier today, I haven't been exercising worth a darn the last couple months either, I'm sure if I cranked that up things would move faster. Although, honestly, even when I was hitting it hard, I still never lost like many around here do. It's not a race, every pound I lose is a step towards a healthier me, as long as I keep heading that direction I'm good with it! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198

The Count Down Begins for Boob job :)

Having been in an emotionally and verbally abusive relationship that eventually turned physical, I probably know better than most where you're coming from. However, please know that I am deeply concerned about your mental well being. You vacillate back and forth about him and have for a rather long time now. He treats you like a dog (as well as your kids) yet you continue to stay. I don't care if you spend every penny you have on new boobs, but I think it's extremely unhealthy for you to be staying with him. You need to get out. And, if mentally you're at a place where you feel it's more important to buy your breast augmentation than it is to get out of an unhealthy and abusive relationship, I really think you need a good therapist to help you work through this. Please know I mean you no Ill will, I'm just concerned about your well being, and I, more than most, know the damage that can be done day to day by staying in this situation. I also know, all too well, that often emotional abuse turns in to more. Be safe and take care of yourself and your family. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198

    Crockpot yummies!

As of today, cooler weather is moving through my area (YAY!!!!) and I have this master plan to use my crockpot more this fall and winter. Monday we are starting off with taco Soup in the crockpot but I'm looking for other tasty, reasonably healthy recipes I can throw together before work and leave unattended all day. Any suggestions? A year and a half out....

I'm losing 3-4 pounds a month....definitely not as quick as I'd like but as long as it's headed the right way I'm good with it. I will confess my exercise for the last several months has been crap. Gotta get back with it.

    Sugar free ice cream?

My sweet tooth is still alive and breathing, just not as over powering as she was pre-op! Typically 3-4 bites makes me happy and I can put down the rest. Drives my coworkers crazy to see me throw away 1/2 a cookie or piece of cake HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198

Will be happy to be a slow loser

While I understand why each doc does what they do (usually anyway), I totally agree with your program. If my doc said 'you can never eat XXX again' I would totally be dying to have XXX. Healthy foods in moderation that create a healthy relationship with food while still allowing you to have a normal healthy life really would seem to be the goal to me. Good luck!!! weird bruises

First thought-Iron deficiency, common in RNY patients and causes super easy bruising. Had any blood counts lately? If not, it's probably worth calling your doc! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198

    Kind of gross..but

Also steroids slow healing so that may be exacerbating things! If you're concerned I'd get someone to look at it. Sorry you've had such a tough time.

    carbs?

Per my program I'm supposed to get 80 a day divided out approx 20 grams 4 times a day. HOWEVER, like you said, some docs push an ultra low carb diet.... HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198
