Awesome!!! I got the clear juice type flavors....they are expensive as heck but will start trying em out later this week. I'm hoping I can mix 1/2 a bottle with crystal light so it's somewhat hidden behind the crystal light flavoring....Hoping!!! 1/2 bottle is 20 grams of Protein so post op, if its tolerable, I can sip It all day as my fluids...maybe, if I don't hate it :/. Do you have other options or is this what he requires??

Leave y'all alone for a few days and look what happens..... Yes the band sucks for some of us. I would have my ovaries removed through my nose with nail clippers and rusty wire before I relived that hell again. HOWEVER, if you're going to come in here making claims then you need to be able to back them up. Otherwise you either look like a reactionary who doesn't take the time to think things through, or, in this case, just looking ignorant. If 40% of bands failed the FDA and insurance companies would yank it. There's no physiologic way the band can cause atrial fibrillation. Gallbladder disease and removal is very common with any type of significant weight loss, band, sleeve, bypass, or au natural. And yup, step 1 is band 101 class was no drinking with meals, it's been that way for years. The good news is that it's removable! You might wanna check into that!

Full liquid stage confusion

You can always add chicken broth and thin it til it's slurpable! -
Full liquid stage confusion
SoccerMomma73 replied to lovealways's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
As long as you keep the broth it's liquid...if you drain the broth and just purée the stuff it's thicker and a purée. -

SoccerMomma73 replied to TxDumplin's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I almost felt, okay I did feel, like the surgeons visit was just a technicality....just the last thing that had to be checked off a list....I think his nurse and coordinator know my entire life history and are my true heroes!! -
Hospital bag
SoccerMomma73 replied to jayla_mom_of2's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Chap stick, clean panties, phone charger, your own pillow (washable) more comfy at the hospital plus you can hug it to your tummy on the way home....really never used much else. -

I'm 3 weeks pre-op and the single mom of an 8 year old....gotta feed me but can't starve him post-op either. If you come up with RNY and family friendly recipes please share!!! -
And we're still waiting.
SoccerMomma73 replied to pookybear's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Lol I'd be on the phone harassing them (nicely) at 8:00 tomorrow morning! -
Obviously a lot of variety depending on the surgeon so I'll add more! No driving for at least 48 hours post-op and while on pain meds. After my lap-band and then band removal I was driving short distances by day 4.... Almost always have catheter out when you wake up, he wants you walking to the potty ASAP! Usually no JP drain but not always. More confused then ever now huh?

It's called Countdown....I have my RNY, my 40th birthday in March, and my vacation to the Florida Keys this summer all counting down . I think when I first got my date for the RNY it was 176 days til surgery so it's totally awesome to see 22 now!!
