"bellyfatgone" I have been using coca butter oil and cream,bought at walmart, my scars are looking good. I saw my surgeon on monday, he says due to my fair skin it will probable be a year before the are gone, just NO sun on them this summer! I am 5 weeks post op.

I was taking metformin for PCOS, during preop liquid diet, I had to stop because I was dropping my blood sugar. I had also started taking birth control about 3 months prior to surgery and the surgeon told me to stop because of an increased risk of blood clots after surgery. He said that I could restart in a couple of months. I was difficult for me to start the birth control with the side effects, then just to stop them. What I would suggest is "safe sex" until after surgery, then start the birth control.

This is also my first time with the fitness challenge. I was banded on dec 21,2009. I will be going with 50 miles for january 2010.

Hi, I am new. I was banded on dec 21. I feel like I am doing well so far. I am hungry majority of the time! I am having trouble drinking my protein, isopure only per my dietician, it has a real bitter taste. Anyone have suggestions?
