I have always struggled with weight loss and given many drastic attempts.  Nothing seemed to work.  I am a healthy, active, obese woman who decided that I am really tired of being overweight.  At a routine physical, my doctor suggested that I look into gastric banding.  I did and really felt I would succeed with the procedure.  Insurance didn't cover it, but I got a loan and went forward with the procedure.  I am trying to get my insurance company to open their eyes and hopefully pay part of the procedure.  I am 5 days post op and feeling GREAT!
