I am 2 weeks out, and feeling good, but just wishing that the next 4 weeks go by fast so I can get my 1st fill. I am following the Dr.s diet, and I feel that I could eat more. I limit myself to the proper portion size, but don't feel any restriction. I guess I am being impatient. All good things come to those who wait, right?

You get to chew gum? I was told no more gum or drinking from straws. Crazy how Dr.s orders are different from each others. -
Surgery was June 24th, 209lb before, 203lbs day of, and 191lbs today. Since I am only 10 days out, my incisions are healing nicely. I am a little more advance on mushies, and have been tolarating all well. I just FEEL GREAT. It's been so long since i felt like my old self confidence was there. I have always been the "fun" one in a group, but today it was just....i don;t even know how to describe it....Kick Ass! I hope everyone will be able to feel that same euphoria. We are all unique, we are our own, stay true to yourself. Happy 4th everyobe

I am currently looking into the Fill Center USA in MN. Has anyone used them in MN? I live in WI and traveled to Detroit for surgery (selfpay) and really don't want to have to go back on the car ferry across Lake Michigan. (Bad, bad experience:blink:) Thanks for any info!

Not sure if I did this right - the pic should be of my fabulous belly 2 days after. Still a little bloated.

3 days after - Some of the marks are from the blood thinning shots I have to give myself for 2 weeks.

Just Banded June 22, 2010 Wisconsin
rapidsangel replied to fisherob's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi - fellow WI resident just banded June 24th! This site has been of great wealth of information for me. Hope your healing process goes well for you! Take care:thumbup: -
I go today to tell the girls in the office that I'm having the Lapband done. We are all overweight, and that would be from years of who's b-day is it tomorrow snacked filled days. We have all talked about the Lapband and how wonderful it would be. So, why did they come at me like a pack of wolves saying that I am taking the easy way out and that all this is going to do is cause me emotional and physical problems? I kind of lost it and told them, Hey who here is the only one with the gym membership, who walks just about everyday and lifts weights? Who's followed Weight Watcher to the tee and still has problems? ME! So when you are ready to come down off your cream puff cloud, and yes, that outfit does make you look fatter yet, I will be losing weight, and feeling better about myself. And also, that shade of jealousy green, really doesn't do much for you. I guess, I kind of went over board a bit, but how two faced! We all talked about how we would support each other and blah blah blah... Oh well - my date is June 24th and I am just giddy with joy!!! So there, stick that in their hoagie sandwich and eat it!!!! WHEW!!! I feel much better, thanks for letting rant! LOL

You look so happy! Just waiting for the day I will smile again in a picture. Soon though, very soon!!!

Any June Bandsters???
rapidsangel replied to candy rain's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yahoo - June 24th for me at Great Lake Weight Loss in MI. They have a reasonable self pay program so you don't need to travel out side the US. Can't wait to start this new journey! -
Heres the story...self payer looking for good doc that will do surgery who is reasonable priced. I am willing to travel perferrable in the US, and also looking for a fill Dr. in WI. that would fill another Dr. patient. I'm not asking for much huh? Any advice would be appreciated:thumbup:
