thanks guys, well i didn't really like the way tlbc wouldn't help with a letter so my husband could withdraw his rsp they told me no, but Dr. Cobourn was so nice he even call me him self and email me wow what a great guy sorry but i would like to get him some business. Andree

Alberta is cover right??? im going to try to do as much home work as i can on the surgery and the bypass and bring him all i get, im sure its not going to do anything but i need to try.

i wanted to copy the letter but it didn't work so hope this works so if anyone as any ideas that would be great i was thinking about doing all the research i can and then have a meeting with him. andree

my husband hs thinking about moving back to Australia, so i have some questions. so if i buy private insurance how long do you have to wait before you can get them to cover the lab band??? i would like to lose the wait before we move but the surgery will cost me over $16000 plus $4000 for travel, here in Canada. anything else i should know?? thanks Andree

Im pretty sure Im going to use tlbc clinic they do seem really nice does anyone know if they have a hotel closed by and not like $200 a night? never been to Toronto so anything i should go look and do? andree

so for the past 5 years my doctor as been telling me that i am almost a type 2 diabetic but yesterday i was talking to a friend of mine and he was taking pill for type 2 so i told him what my doctor as been telling me and he told me his doctor told him there is not such a thing as almost diabetic its you are or your not?? and then we found out we have the same doctor so does anyone know? do i need a new doctor??? mine is a pill pusher and my friend just lost 50lb before taking the pills. andree

Dr.Leung he needs to do the fill him self they said or its not going to be warrenty. Dr. woodland the lady said it would be ok for my family doctor to do the fills but i need to see the doctor and ask him all the question and its a $400 for the first visit. Im going to vancouver on nov 2 for the weekend it would be nice to see him and asking some questions.

how did you get out of paying the $400 for the first visit? andree

i was talking to a friend about me having this surgery and he told me that i don't eat enough to get this surgery but he over eats. So sometimes after i just finish eating I'm stuff but then 10 mins later its like i never eat anything does that happened to anyone else?? if we have pizza i can eat 3 slices but if i go for an other peice then im really full so do i over eat???? andree

Calgary is close too, the reason why i would go to tlbc is because they give you a video and they let your family doctor here in Whitehorse do the fills i know of 3 people here in Whitehorse that get the family doctor do the fills. for me to get to Vancouver or Calgary its a $700 plane ride. andree

oh maybe i forgot to tell you i live up in whitehorse so vancouver is closer to me.

the lady told me its just over $13000 but she not being to much help, Im not complaining about the price its just that i would need to fly to Vancouver a couple of times and she not trying to work with me, wonder if she ever get a day off and i could speak with someone else? i like the clinic in toronto they do everything over the phone so you only need to fly there once to get the surgery. andree

Thats right i would like to go and see him and see what he thinks but i really dont want to pay $400 to just say hi i think that lady needs a new job she not a people person. she did send me the kit so i have to go and do all this and then pay $400 to see him and maybe or maybe not will i go with him i think he charge to much.

she just told me if someone here in Whitehorse is qualified do to the fill then that would be fine and one of the doctor here is doing the fill for the tlbc clinic, so i dont really see the difference. and she did say its around $13000 but i would have to make two trips down. andree
