Since my first pregnancy I have struggled with my weight. I could always lose the weight, but it just came right back. I enjoy working out, running, biking and weights but once I fell off the wagon the weight returned much faster than I had lost it. I lost and gained 50-75 pounds a year for 4 years. I turned to the lap band because not only would it restrict me from over eating, it would also teach me to eat better. I liked the idea that it was minimally invasive and that I could heal up quickly. With four kids to keep up with at home, it seemed like a win-win. I had my surgery in Cancun Mexico over the Thanksgiving Holiday. I was very pleased with my surgeon, his staff and the hospital. So far I am doing great with my band. I am excited to see what the next year will hold for me!
