Try the EAS carbadvantage shakes, 110 calories, 17 protein, 2 net carbs. Or the Carnation instant breakfast, sugar free mixed with low fat milk. (You should clear these with you Dr first)

The good news is that this is a diet with an end! I have also found that what I want to eat is different than it was when I started. I hope you find the same thing.

Giving up = staying obese. Having the courage to keep looking for a solution no matter where the solution lies, can never be called giving up.
-
I got my cut and colored yesterday, mine is fine and thin and getting thinner so I had to go shorter to keep away from the wet dog look.
-
Yep, crazy. Huge difference.

I gained weight during the first 6 weeks, then I started getting fills and started losing. Start practicing good skills, measure and journal your food, start walking 30 min a day three times a week and pretend you have restriction. You will be hungry during this time but it will get better! Don't give up now!

Have faith, I actually gained weight between my surgery and my first fill. Trust me once you start getting fills it will get much better.

That is the key to lap band success, find what works for you and stick with it!

He is just making excuses for his lack of ability in fills. Since he does not want to be blamed, he is transferring the blame to you. Don't let him get you down, soon you will be thin and he will still be a jerk.

I was self pay too. I was also worried about wasting my money. I paid $10,200 to lose 58 pounds so far with 7 to go. That is $175.86 per pound. I think its a bargain!

My last 3 fills were in the .2 to .5 range and I have been at the perfect spot for a few months now. Since you are getting to where you have to eat properly I would go to small fills and wait 3 weeks between to see what they do. After my last fill I thought they had poked a hole in my band because my restriction was gone then 10 days later BAM! It was perfect.

I have problems with my feet as well, I am sitting here now at my desk with them on an ice pack. I freeze water in an empty water bottle and then roll them around under my feet to help with inflammation. Maybe that would help you too.

Your Mom is right in a way "all I have to do is stop eating so much." She just doesn't realize that is what the band is for. When you have a smaller stomach it will call out for less food, less often and you will eat less. Problem solved. I was always hungry before the band and now I just get a "its time to eat" feeling not the "I'M STARVING" type of hunger I had. I hope the same for you.

I was a spitter too! Good job on spitting it out instead of swallowing it, your stitches holding your band in place are still healing and you don't want to interfere with that. You will be back to the land of eating soon, just wait it out. You can do it!

Good for you!

Diet pills set you up to fail, you will lose as much muscle as fat and then you burn less calories a day so you have to eat less when you get off them. I would rather have an extra 20 pounds weight than use them. (OK, I am getting off my soap box now.)
What about a trainer? If you burn more you can eat more.
Good luck with what you decide.

I found it free on the activetrainer.com web site, they were offering it free. I have posted each day since I started so if you want to follow the plan you can use the instructions from my blogs.

When I was first banded I was not journaling my food, I told my husband "But I am doing everything right!" and he said "um, no your not". Once I started journaling, weighing and measuring my food, I was able to make small adjustments that really made a big difference.

Boy, I do love a good plan!

My husband thinks it is stupid as well. However, this is my body and my life and I will do what is best for me whether he like it or not.
I mean for gods sake he stands in a boat for hours throwing a hook in the water to catch a fish and then throws the fish back! So once again, that is what he likes and he is entitled to do it, I don't have to like it just because he does.

Your mourning the loss of your previous life. I did it to. It goes away.
BTW your doing great!

I have found that if I don't have a set schedule that I talk myself out of working out, as in, "Oh I will do it tomorrow" but if I have to work out the day after tomorrow then I have to do it today because I can't work out 2 days in a row. I would love for someone to be doing it with me so we could compare notes.
Here is the link:
Active Summer Beginner Cross-Training Plan | Beginner Fitness
BTW: After you create an account and put the workout in your cart and go to checkout it asks for credit card info just leave that blank and submit and it will give you the workout.
It will also start the day you get it but you can go to your daily log screen and move it to start a different day.

If your band slips you can not keep anything down including liquid so you would be throwing up everything. You are in bandster hell, you have a band but no restriction, like a car with no gas. If you are 3 weeks out you should be close to regular food, just keep reminding yourself you can do anything for a week! Only a few days left! Then you will start getting fills soon and it will all get better, I promise. Go to the forums and read the posts from other successful bander's and take information from them and ignore the rest! You can do it!
