It took me 2 weeks for my first burp, the bad news I need to fart continuously every since I was banded. So now I burp a lot, fart all the time and have to spit in the trash on a regular basis. My ladylike southern behavior has gone to hell.

Good afternoon everyone, well, I was going to say hi individually but since Karen did I won't repeat it. Well I finally went out to eat today for lunch with friends, (since the surgery I have only ate out with my husband and son). It is so beautiful outside today, sunshine and 66 degrees. My husband went fishing yesterday and came home with catfish again, I have about 15 pounds of filet's in my refrigerator waiting to be vacuum packed. I wish y'all lived closer so I could share. I have good news about my band, for the last 10 days or so I have not been trying to diet, when I got my band I did the full court press and really worked it hard. Well when I got to 153 or so I thought I would take a break and not try so hard, I am kind of happy with things like they are. So I am still logging and measuring my food but netting about 1200 calories instead of 800-900, plus I have a glass of wine if I want one. (But I did pass on the trip to the ice cream shop last night) This morning I had lost a pound anyway, 1 pound in 11 days, and here is the important part, WITHOUT TRYING! I haven't lost a pound without trying in my whole adult life, I cant tell you how much hope that gives me. Before every.single.pound. was a struggle. Now I can just make the right food choices and wait 11 days and lose a pound! Holy crap! Its a miracle. For those newbies who are thinking "What the hell have I done?" just wait the ride just keeps getting better. Thank y'all for being here, there is no way I can explain this to someone who hasn't gone through the same struggle. :thumbup:

Don't worry, if he is the right guy he will be fine, if he isn't the right guy your band has saved you again! I have decided that my band is multi-functional, not only does it control my eating but it is also a shallow people sorter, when shallow people find out about it they run like they are on fire. I'm not sure how it works but it does.

I asked my husband about this for you, he said "any port in a storm", OK he is a real smart ass but then he said you should tell the guy so if he feels it he wont have questions during your intimate time. He also said that women are much more critical of their bodies than guys are. What you see as flab he sees as possibilities.

Yeah because we would much rather have corporations control HC and the decisions corporations will make for us will be much better for us. Because as a people we have so much more control over what corporations do...wait a Minute, I can't vote a corporation out of power like I can vote out government officals...hum

Obama To GOP: You Want Repeal? Bring It On! So please, from what source did you find Obama saying "Bring it on"?

It depends on what the food is, for meat I weigh it on the scales, veggies I measure by the cup, crackers I count so that I can control and count the calories. Then I eyeball it and say to myself "If I cut this up into little bitty pieces would it all fit into a 1 cup measuring cup" I try not to eat more than 1 cup of food at a time.

Hey Debbie, I got my band in October too! We are glad your here. My weightloss has slowed down a lot too, but I havent been trying too hard lately either so thats OK with me. Congrats on losing 3 meds! I bet that is worth it all by itself, but you got 4 down sizes to go with it. Way to go!

The thing that bothered me the most about Patty's sign posts was that if you look closely at them a large number of them were in foreign cities. Foreigners (that we are not at war with, some are even our allies) who want to hang our president. For reference, when was the last time you saw an American with a sign who wanted to hang one of our foreign allies presidents (not someone we were at war with)? How many Americans can even name a foreign president?

Poor baby, I wish I could help you. I know your husband just doesn't get it but he did not do this on purpose, try and keep that in mind. Can I tell you a story about my SIL from HELL? For years she terrorized me, mostly about my weight, starting when we were 21, well guess what? Now we are 40, I have my lap band and I am much smaller than she is and she cant stand it but she cant have it WLS because she talked so bad about me when I did. People can not keep their real personalities hidden for 20 years. So by now she has pissed off everyone in the family royally at least once and everybody knows what a horrible person she really is and nobody likes her. It all comes out eventually, you reap what you sow, the waiting just sucks. You just keep being the sweet girl you are (I have read a lot of your posts) and let those people keep being who they are. When someone is mean to me I always say in the back of my mind "Thats OK because I get to go home and be me and you have to stay here and be you, for the rest of your life, and I cant think of a worse punishment." Then I go like this I hope you feel better soon.

This was in the Rants and Raves section of our local newspaper on 03/22/2010 (yes 2010) So does this mean I will be paying for all the Illegals and African/Americans who don't have insurance? What about me - who is going to pay for my insurance? This is the most worthless president we have ever had - Can't even prove where he was born. Guess what? Just because you can eat something doesn't mean you should. I was wanting something different for lunch so I made myself a 1/2 of a ham and cheese sandwich. I toasted the whole grain bread really well and then sat down to eat it. I ate nice and slow with no problems and stopped when I got the full signal with about 1/4 of it left, no problem right? Like that country song says WRONG, about 15 min later I started slimming, what is that about? Does the bread swell in your pouch or something? So I have been sitting here spitting in my trash for the last hour which completely grosses me out, wondering if I should go make myself throw up so I will feel better.
