Hi, I'm from the Little Rock area, and I too had me band placed by Dr. Baker.
I was banded 01-13-10, small amount of pain when i cam home. Lots of gas, but tolerable. I am doing much better, and I'm going back to work as a LPN on 01-25-10. I'm doing wonderful. The only pain I have is I think its my port, which is a little tender to touch.

I am scheduled for a fill 02-12-10. I cannot wait. Have u started mushys yet. And what about ur soreness?

I too got my band 01-13-10. I was so nausated in the hospital the morning after surgery. They has to give me two different anitmetic medications. I was sent home with them also, but has not needed them. I have taken just a total of 1.5 tablespoons. I have been getting by with liquid tylenol and gas drops. I have been passing gas slowly, but i'm afraid that i may be cosuming too much liquid, because, i'm constantly putting fluids in. I have not gotten sick just gas. I felt well enough to fix my family breakfast this morning. And i did not have any desires to eat this morning. I even fixed hamburger helper for the kids this evening. I am doing okay, but i did lick the spoon of juice from it. But that's all!! Hope we all get past this just fine... -
my pain has decreased a bunch. i have been walking a lot around the hose. i have acually fel well enough o fix a quick breakfas for my family this morning. I have been aking regular liquid tylenol, and jus used their vicodin once. but it was was less han prescribed. i have sooo much gas.

I went to the doctor's office for my required wt. checked prior to the procedure...I started with the wt checked in my visit on 12-23-09 258.6lbs. My wt today, 249.3!! This has been hardest 2 weeks of the pre diet. But I have finaly made it, and I'm excited!! I will check back in on Thursday, because I'm an overnight hospital stay...until then, Good Luck 01-13-10 Banders. -

hello, i'm also getting my band on jan.13th. the only paperwork I had was the online app. and the doc visit which was 12-23-09. and it was alot of it, so be prepared to be in the clinic for a couple of hours.
