The good thing is that you'll probably be on liquids after the surgery but I have a kitchen in my dorm, one on each floor so I've been cooking for myself ever since my surgery. And I also wrote a letter to the campus dining coordinator and had my meal plan dropped to the lowest possible plan which ended up being a commuter plan.
