Girl im nervous just like the rest of yall. Im getting banded on tuesday the 12th of this month and im terrified. im worried im not going to wake up or im going to die right on the table... but im looking at it like this, if it wasnt meant to be, then i wouldnt had gotten approved.. and if the surgeron didnt think it was okay, he wouldnt do it. im terrified. but i say,,, i know this is what i need.

I have preopt tomorrow and surgery on tuesday Jan 12, and honestly im terrified. :smile2: i know its the right thing to do, but im scared that im not going to handle the pain afterwards.....

Has anyone else gained weight on their pre opt diet? I have cheated ive stuck straight to the rules, four protein shakes a day 110 cal and one healthy choice meal about 310 cal so i stay under 1200 calories a day. thats what the doctor ordered the liver shrinking diet. high protein/ low card. in ONE week I gained 10 lbs!!!! WHAT ON EARTH!!!! I called the nurse she said it could possibly be water weight.. but jeez 10 lbs in a week!!?? anyone else experience this?

I have decided that i will be starting to do a video journal once i start going through this main process... this preopt diet has sucked. I heard most people didnt even have to do a diet. But i shall do as the doctor has instructed. I cant wait to hear the final date for surgery tomorrow. I have to honest ive been struggling on this diet, but as the days are going its getting easier and easier, and hopefully i will fully be able to handle it after the surgery. Im not nervous about the surgery its self. im more worried about the pain afterwards to be honest. Im a baby when it comes to pain. they told me ill have to stay int he hospital because the hospital is about two hours from my house and its better for me to just stay the night. So yeah. Well anyone has any input feel free to leave some! thanks for the feed back!

Im nervous. but after reading your blog im amazed! i wear a size 28 jeans, i weigh 303 right now. I hope I can get this under control as well, if you have any advice for me, id love to hear it. As no one has really directed me through this or supported me, Id greatly appreciate you :Dancing_wub: if you wanna talk sometime, my sn on here is the same on aim! Id love a friend to talk to! I just had my consult today.. with the dietican, doctor and nurse. Im already started my pre opt diet.. high protein drinks and one meal a day less than 200 calories... Bleh... im a really nervous about doing this diet, and surgery, but i know i need to do something about my weight before it gets more out of control. Can anyone tell me what happens after surgery?
